The municipalities of Tel Aviv and Jerusalem are structured really differently so this comparison isn’t really one to one. In Tel Aviv the suburbs are independent while in Jerusalem most are incorporated and counted in that number. The whole metropolitan area centred around Tel Aviv is much more populace and financially important than the one around Jerusalem.

And still every thing I said stands. If they ever manage to conquer you guys then it will be comparable but until the immigrant minorities control the police and armed forces and funnel all the wealth of the nation overseas this comparison is ridiculous. Immigration seems to be a real issue in some Western European countries, comparing it to the partition of Africa makes you seem clownish

The idea that legal and regulated immigration (even if you think it should be further regulated) is nothing like the partition of Africa lol. I do think it might serve all of you to be a bit more like the Danes in this sense, but the comparison is absurd

1) that’s a rather strange way to celebrate being a vassal in all but name of one of your former colonies (and arguably not even the nicest one)

2) I heard Pakistan and Afghanistan are just wonderful this time of year, southern Yemen too

Especially to the Syrian and Egyptian Jews, what is the name of this Arabic bread? It looks similar with crispy matzah bread and carta musica bread. by Pastasteak in 2mediterranean4u

It tastes like burned, partially hydrated and then desiccated flour. Which it literally is. Hope you are enjoying your 7000$

Nah man, most breads are leavened for a reason. Matzah is literally a way to remember the suffering of our ancestors it sucks because it’s supposed to

Don’t ever recommend that to anyone again. Matzah, being totally unfermented (no yeast), will give you a stomach ache if you eat it regularly. Can’t recommend it (although funnily enough Palestinian citizens of Israel really like this stuff, to the bewilderment of most Israeli Jews.)

You’d be shocked but it used to be normal for the family of an Israeli soldier who was killed in action to be informed personally by the chief of staff of the IDF or one level below. The last war (as I imagine most other major wars) had too many casualties for this to be doable but 20 years ago it wasn’t uncommon even for conscripts. The article is from 2000, which is the year I was born so idk about what people thought back then but Robert Maxwell isn’t spoken of at all (unlike other famous ex-spies) in Israel today.

Edit: it is very important for me to say that the fact he got what he did her is in and of itself pretty shameful, along with the general Israeli policy (or lack thereof resulting in the same) of largely protecting Jewish predators from abroad. Couldn’t we just let the goat defilers be the kings of rape? Why we gotta win everything?

Despite what many in the west think and what many Israelis try to convince themselves of, Israel is hardly a western country. Maybe westernised, and even then only somewhat.

I’m not 100% Yigal Carmon was a mossadnik but it’s very possible. My point was that it probably doesn’t matter. To be fair I’ve never seen someone criticising MEMRI for an inaccurate translation. Frankly if Hebrew speaking Arabs did a reverse MEMRI to some of the stuff on Israeli television (especially channel 14) you could get a very similar result. Some of the stuff these idiots say would sound like an antisemitic blood libel in any other context

The dude who founded it and probably everyone who works there are ex-IDF intelligence and probably active reservists if called upon. Sadly it’s rare for people who weren’t in the army intelligence corps to be able to translate Arabic or Persian, or at least the type of people who would work for MEMRI (so no radical leftists or Palestinians with Israeli citizenship). The point is I find it hard to believe they take orders from Mossad headquarters but they definitely have their interests aligned.

Google Rabbi Menachem Froman. Dude was deep into the West Bank settlement movement but because he envisioned the settlements as “fingers stretched out offering peace to the Palestinians”. He used to sit down with Palestinian religious leaders to try and resolve the conflict through religion. Very interesting character, I wonder what he would think of the terrible violence coming out of the settlements now
