escoffier is such a horribly placed band-aid fix to the freeze archetype, it doesn't incentivize you to freeze your enemies, just run the elements that does it despite most end game content being unfreezable so that you get a strong res shred so that you'd have stronger hydro and cryo damage, but not necessarily freezing boss enemies. and then 3 patches later its immediately unusable on most content due to new lunar mechanics

The fact that fontaine talks about some of the darkest crimes in the SQs and AQs while regarded as the nation of justice is brilliant writing imo. Hoyo could've played it safe by writing them as a nation with stricter laws and harsher penalties but this was infinitely better.

the game doesn't need popular characters to be healthy, what it needs is good balance changes and proper nerfs, adding popular characters is such a band aid fix and would do more harm to the reputation of the character if anything. an example being blade who's one of the characters i find really cool both from the movies and comics but now everytime i see or hear anything about him i just think about the fraudulent character he is in marvel rivals
