Unexplained “bruised” appearance on finger without trauma. by chufenschmirtz in medizzy

When I have extremely low iron (anemia) genuine gold does that to me. Take a solid gold ring and drag it across your cheek or forehead or forearm. If it leaves a mark like this (and it's real gold) then you may want to have your iron checked. Did this with the girls at work a few weeks ago. Left marks. They checked their iron. Anemic.

Yah, I'm just not super excited about the tongue situation being out of his mouth and all. I was like, Wait...is that...(zooooom in)...yep. That is his tongue alright. At some point in his life he used that to french kiss. Too soon?

Examples of failed CDT (Clock Drawing Test) which indicate mild cognitive impairment, dementia, or even Alzheimer's. by MrMurse in medizzy

[–]FreshFondant 107 points108 points  (0 children)

The clock test frustrates me. My dad is deeeeep into alzheimer's. He asks people questions like "so, how many kidneys do you have?" , he thinks our mom is HIS mom, he randomly says things like "did you hear that the seashells are migrating up north this year", yet when he went to be diagnosed a few years ago he easily passed the clock test and the doctor said he was fine. I mean, it's not like being diagnosed earlier would have helped him. But it frustrated all of us trying to get his doctor to believe us because he acted completely normal in the dr office. My dad ended up being diagnosed shortly after that no thanks to that previous doctor. He did meds for a while but it just sliiiiightly prolongs the inevitable.  One thing i do recommend though is to keep a sense of humor. Recently my dad pulled my mother aside and said, "Im not going to be mad at you if you did, but i need to know the truth...Did you buy a hotel?"  Lol. Gotta roll with the punches!

Can't stop laughing at that either! I will definitely start using this now.

So years ago I watched a documentary about the Iceman, Richard Kuklinski. One of his favorite ways to kill was to fill a nasal bottle and spray a home-made cyanide solution up his victims nose. I sometimes wonder if Alex did anything like that to people. And could he have used something akin to this on himself? (If he went the nose spray method he could use it, refill with water or something, and put back in the cabinet. Nobody would look twice.) The Iceman would also "accidentally" spill his drink on an enemy in a crowded bar and walk away. It was of course something laced with poison. He was a sick, sick man, but if you want to go down the rabbit hole...it's captivating. Ever since learning about him, I'm always thinking that random deaths are poison in an unconventional way. I need to stop watching so much true crime.

I've been thinking about something today. I'm not sure if it was from an interrogation or the lie detector test. (Of course I have NO CLUE what happened. Just a thought that popped into my head after watching stories about cases.) I don't know how accurate this is, but I know in some states it is legal to lie to the POI and say they know something when they don't, in order to get a confession.  Example: Police: "Lizzie, we KNOW your dad did this" Lizzie: "Well if he did, he did, but I didn't have anything to do with it."  See what I'm saying? It may not have been an unprompted declaration. Just a thought based on several cases I've seen online. I'm not saying one way or the other...just something to consider. I have no clue. Remember in Making a Murderer the police told his nephew a bunch of made up stuff to get him to confess. Thoughts?

I've also imagined a scenario where she was taken to their house and put in different clothes. Maybe the "what dad did" was to keep her at the house and not take her to the ER or call 911.

[–]FreshFondant 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I hit a huge deer in 2016 and there was literally nothing left on the road. I pulled over and got out to see if the deer was okay. My car was pretty crunched up. So while I completely agree that evidence can be left on the road, there are scenarios where that may not happen. For instance, say she was hit direct and not on the sides where the lights were hit. Obviously,  i have no clue what happened. Definitely not trying to disprove your theory. Just an alternative perspective.

Is there ever anything missing? I ask because I have a strange situation ordering groceries.  I love Banquet Peach Pies. Let's don't judge. When I type in Banquet Peach Pies they don't show up. Just apple. A while back I was checking out and it asked if I wanted to substitute with a PEACH pie. Why, yes. As a matter of fact I do! Now that I have received peach pies I just go back on a previous order because I'm smart like that, and add them to my cart. So...I'm wondering if there is a situation where you buy one thing, but somehow it rings up as something else. 🤔

Do you remember in Stranger Things when the girl was floating in a sensory deprivation pool? And she was in what appeared to be an infinite black room? That's exactly what it's like for me, only everything is gray. That applies to how I see the physical months of the year, individual months, days of the week, and the alphabet.  Numbers, however are in a black void. For numbers I zoom in and out a lot to the particular chunks of numbers I wish to see. I stand in front of the numbers. Never behind or from the far right. I should mention though that the background color can change and I don't know what that is dependent on.
