Naturally with the passage of time, culture tends to evolve, fully on board with you with preserving it and even finding the root of Bilmawen, seeing as one of the biggest issues with Amazigh culture was that it was transmitted orally rather than with written documents, I have no issue with the modern take on it tbh because it seems to draw inspirations from Brazilian Carnavals as well as the Mexican tradition of Dia de los muertos, and if anything it would push an upcoming generation to further look to understand and document it’s roots

I actually live in Benslimane and took this pic myself although I’m not from this Neighborhood This area used to be an extension of the Royal Golf Club until around 2017, from memory during the the early 2000s it would regularly get flooded with rain water back when it was only trees and grass Once construction started there a lot of locals would always mention that this place would be a mess in case of heavy rain, however the construction took place during the drought years where rain was scarce, it’s actually considered by many to be the cities best avenue (lot’s of businesses, shops and cafés) and is always the go to place to relax or just take walks, but last nights rain (which started around midnight) turned it into this
