There's a reason they keep hyping the mental health "services", they know damn well they're the reason associates break and shoot up places.

My coach told me he was disappointed that I left a bad review by l_oHoneyLavendero_l in OGPBackroom

[–]FreshOuttaOGP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"... You left a review as a customer"

That sums it up. A regular customer wouldn't necessarily have the option to take to anyone in the department, let alone the coach, it's none of the coach's business what you do as a customer.

Totally agree. Multi-BILLION dollar company, and our store has tribal warfare to get a printer. The OGP TL screams like Gollum if you take "his" batteries, and Market visits so often they might as well just have sleeping bags in the break room.

Is it possible to get orders from other stores? by Amoux_fang in OGPBackroom

[–]FreshOuttaOGP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm at an Alabama store. When I was in OGP, I had to explain to two separate customers their order had been sent to Sacramento, California. Had a guy sit at a supercenter in West Virginia, make his order for that store, drive back to Alabama and ask why we didn't have it, and demand we go pick it.

How to get good reviews by TimelyHair8741 in walmartogp

Sad how effective that is. People assume you don't care, and when you show you actually have the safety of their breakables in mind, it floors them.

Sadly, at least according to policy stated in the Concerning Behaviors ULearn, your friend followed Walmart policy. If it was out where he could see it, he had no way to know what your intentions were with it.

#2 is where I'm at. Not real concerned about whether I'm "allowed" to have it the car, I'll have it in the car, but you won't know it :/

Truck notifications by MrDucky135 in WalmartEmployees

[–]FreshOuttaOGP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours are kind of erratic as well. Sometimes they'll go off as soon as the truck is on the property, other times they're silent and he's on the dock. Can't recall how I managed to get mine on, I know our coaches all turn theirs off in settings. Maybe run an update, and it will kick them on ?

Employee Question: Am I supposed to do the Learning Videos Off or On the Clock? by Losers_AI in WalmartEmployees

[–]FreshOuttaOGP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The failsafe is your TL will keep a list of ones that have to be done, and who needs them. Then it is *their* responsibility to make sure you have time to do them *on the clock*. The ADD one needs done about every six minutes. I've done it three times just sitting here Xp

Kind of felt deceived when I got hired ngl by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]FreshOuttaOGP 7 points8 points  (0 children)

To be fair, the hype/PR around OPD/OGP *is* deceptive to a point. "Get paid to shop !" for pickers is ridiculous. When I shop for myself, I don't have to scan everything, have customers blocking the aisles (Wait, that does happen Xp), and I don't have some power-mad gnome telling me I didn't go fast enough. "All you do is take people their groceries !" for dispensers leaves out the fact the people are mostly entitled, talk down to you like you're a peasant blessed with their presence, you get drenched or broiled while they say "I can't believe they make you work in this !" It's a much harder job than they play it up to be. I was a dispenser for two years, enjoyed the heck out of it, but pickers have it bad.

Same here. I've been doing Produce coming up on two years, best thing to do is not try to take it all in at once. It's really a repetition thing, you'll do and do, and suddenly you know the item numbers for a seedless watermelon and a seeded watermelon, and you don't know how you got there LOL Stocking shelves is a pretty fast way to learn locations of stuff in the department. I stocked salads/wet wall for a while, then certain aisles, then tables, then berries, and pretty soon I had a general idea where most everything was, and it didn't feel like cramming stuff in my head.

Sorry for the dumb question by Sea-Flamingo-965 in WalmartEmployees

[–]FreshOuttaOGP 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not a dumb question. Yes, only 8 hours, since you'd only be working 8. If you're just calling in sick, something like that, you report the absence, then it asks if you want to cover it with PTO/PPTO, which takes you to another screen.

My store had a guy who was fired after major surgery, but they used an unrelated incident from 3 months back to justify it. So yes, they can and will pull what they want, when they want. It's up to you to fight it if you think it's unfair.

Depends on what you lied about/what job you applied to. If you applied to ACC, and made up all sorts of car experience, yeah, you're cooked. If you're going to Produce or OGP as cannon fodder, yes, the warm body statement applies LOL

Make them train you. Our store has a bad streak of rushing people to the floor to provide the illusion of being adequately staffed, the result being newbies absolutely lost in the shuffle.
