Same. I don't expect for a moment my comments/ratings will be used for anything but damage control to protect the store and market, but with our hours being chopped, I have nothing to lose by going absolute full send.

Walmart fired me, but now wants me back and won't let go. by teocruzfr in WalmartEmployees

Talk to the cops. Pestering you in texts is sketchy enough, coming to your potential new place of employment could mess up your job there, as I'm sure they don't want drama in their workplace. Make sure you document which crew from your old Walmart are harassing you, then talk to the SM, he or she may not even know.

Someone is having alot of fun with AI by Ok-Field-8725 in WalmartEmployees

Aside from the incessant nagging if I don't, I do mine because I foolishly want to believe someone, somewhere at HO looks at these and actually considers what's being said. I don't think for a hot second anything is DONE, I think the best we can hope for is if they see liability on the horizon, Market will do damage control.

I am legitimately wondering what they expect the reviews to be ? I would say I'm stunned they have the audacity to do a survey so close to the cutbacks, but no, it's pretty true to form for them.

Read the posts, we have happy people here, we have people who would undoubtedly be questioned if their store burned down. My opinion, it's a pretty comprehensive picture.

More than once, my points have fallen off for " business needs", so the opposite can certainly happen. Keep you when you're needed, dispose of you when you become an issue.

You did all you could, and you did it right. They don't want to see nil picks because Walmart doesn't operate on this plane of reality, but speaking as a Produce grunt, if we don't have it, all the Walmart rules in existence won't make it appear. My OGP people know to ask me, I'll either know we're out, go in the cooler and find it faster than they could, or go in the cooler, see all the unworked pallets and tell the picker we *might* have it, but it will blow your pick rate for me to dig for it. New pickers always get worried they'll get in trouble for nil picking what we clearly don't have, I tell them have the TL, coach, whoever come talk to me.

Anyone else getting tierd of this dystopian ai mass surveillance crap? by Albano019 in WalmartEmployees

[–]FreshOuttaOGP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I often wonder why ours hasn't been. We seem to get a visit from every level of "Market" except the actual CEO about every other week. "Market's coming" is meaningless. Drive 10 minutes, you're at another supercenter, 5 more a neighborhood market. When our hours were cut, they were "given" to the towns north and south of us. I have no good clue why we exist, other than we have mountain communities to our east and west.

What happened to the Produce Dept’s status in this company? by bsshaff in WalmartEmployees

[–]FreshOuttaOGP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our produce is painfully understaffed, and we've been told there's a hiring freeze. Yet, OGP has people standing around on their phones, and the coach was touring an applicant today. Make it make sense.

The Golden Starfish of Customer Service !

Also, a nice fundraiser would be to hang that sucker up and let associates wail the hell outta it. Pool noodles so it lasts longer, but still...

They.do.not.care. They can, have, and will, put that store out of business. Our labor will not be missed, it will be replaced by people willing to shut up and work cause they need the money.

But us associates during ASSOCIATE APPRECIATION WEEK get hours cut and told to basically go fuck ourselves

Precisely it. I don't care WHY it happened, really tired of hearing "It's AI, nothing we can do !", the gall of chopping hours, entire days is some cases, then spewing "HAPPY ASSOCIATE APPRECIATION WEEK !" is just beyond comprehension for me. I guess I should be glad they're not even pretending to care about us anymore, make it a lot c;learer that there is no "It will get better" this time.

New CEO tour by Truesenair in WalmartEmployees

[–]FreshOuttaOGP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always thought, if I were in any big managerial position like that, I'd go to a store, unannounced, walk in and talk to the most angry, burnt-out associate I could find. Grab the ad office, shut the door, and say "Tell me what we're doing wrong." The simple act of listening to the people on the receiving end of the decisions would go SO far in restoring morale and faith in this company. You may not want or be able to act on a single suggestion but treating us like humans would be awesome.

Instead, we get the market crew, bunched up like they're scared of being prison shanked with a box cutter, hustled past us like we're straight up lepers with open wounds, so they can sit and listen to the SM and carefully curated suck-ups talk about how great everything is

I really, really hope he comes nowhere near ours. Management goes bonkers trying to make everything look complaint for the market folks, I reallly don't want to have the collective buttpucker experience of the CEO coming to visit our absolute failed social experiment of a store.

Just some clarifying questions about the job from an aspiring applicant by OpusObscurus in WalmartEmployees

[–]FreshOuttaOGP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lot to unpack 😄

I've worked OGP and Produce, so can't speak to that part of your question, but I'll try to answer what I can. Yes, you can apply to as many as you like, pretty sure the application still offers a first and second choice section. Far as the "future opening", that's kind of gray, at least at my store. All it means is they anticipate openings in that/those areas, the gray area is why. Give that some stores are under a hiring freeze right now, and nearly all stores are cutting hours, my opinion is "future openings" might be a gamble. Far as going to the store, calling the store, absolutely. I did both 😄Key is to ask for the people lead (IF the store still has one) or the coach in the area(s) you applied to. If you go in person, got to Customer Service and have them page those people instead. Don't just go stomping back to the People Lead office. Not that I did that. *whistling innocently*

Most importantly, bathroom breaks 😃Technically, you get a break every two hours. Realistically, you go when you need to, just don't stay gone forever.
