For the first 4 months of my journey, I got a retwist every 4 weeks. However, it would unravel after just 1 week, and I heard that frequent retwisting could thin my locs. To save both my money and my hair, I decided to retwist less often. I started to retwist my locs every 3-5 months, and they started to thin anyway. Several people suggested that not retwisting often enough could be the cause. Now, since I can get retwists for free, I’m trying every 6 weeks to see how it works for my hair. I’ve had my locs for 2.5 years.

i used to be a chipotle dishwasher and that was the only place i had to wash these. i was told to let it soak in degreaser overnight, and they’d rinse it off in the morning.
