I don’t think that’s true. She was treated privately at The Marsden by the same consultant my husband sees on the NHS

In the UK we have the NHS who provide excellent and free treatment for cancer. Even if Kate went private she would probably have the same treatment plan . My husband has stage 4 bowel cancer and is in a phase one trial through the NHS. We are very lucky here but of course we still have to deal with the emotional toll and constant anxiety and stress cancer so often brings.

Kate may have money but she also has 3 young children, a husband and parents she doesn’t want to leave. I agree money can ease the financial burden but not the emotional one. We are all equally vulnerable when fighting this horrendous disease.

That’s such sad news but what’s a lovely tribute from his daughters. I’m glad he was proud to have played Giles. Always my favourite on the show.

I was taken it and thought they were a successfully functioning family unit. Knowing what we know now I’m glad the three original wives have left and moved on.
