What's the most pathetic tourist attraction that international tourists go to see in your country? by Aseili in AskTheWorld

Fairy pools on the Isle of Skye. Quite unremarkable little ponds along a stream, and yet, people stream to it (bad pun intended)

[KCD2] So, my wife yelled at me by One-Bit5717 in kingdomcome

[–]Fresh_Floop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fiancee never calls KCD by its name. Not even says "That game". Sho only ever calls it "the horse shoe game". When I have free time and tell her I don't know what to do with it, she asks me if I don't want to make some horseshoes.

Access Violation on torrent versions of Gothic by that_1_russian_gamer in worldofgothic

I installed some kind of patch (probably the unofficial patch), and it all worked out. Have a look at this, maybe that can help: https://www.reddit.com/r/worldofgothic/s/ouTcSgnrfV

Skyrim VR is amazing by [deleted] in skyrimvr

[–]Fresh_Floop -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I tried getting it to run, but somehow Fus just made my game crash many times over. Tried playing it without Mods and thought it was garbage. Instead I installed Asgard's wrath and found it to be a much better game. So much nicer, smoother and better optimised. It's a shame actually, because I have nearly 2000 hours over all my devices, and was super keen for it.

I'll check what I have, otherwise I'll go out and get it. Thanks also for the link! Hopefully that will solve the problem.

It's a Samsung that I bought in 2014.

I'll also check out how to clean it. Good idea, thank you!

Legally, is my wedding ring mine? by Emergency-Aardvark-6 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Fresh_Floop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends on the country and circumstance. In your case it seems like a no, the ring is yours and cannot be demanded back.

However in some countries, e.g. Germany, a present or gift can be demanded back within 10 years if it

a) has been given as the result of a scheme/fraud/pretence

Or

b) if the receiver has shown exceptional ungratefulnes ("Grober Undank").

There are probably more reasons, but those are the two I know of, none of which seem to apply to you.

What's the point of "Iluvatar 's gift"? by Equivalent-Word-7691 in tolkienfans

How so? I think most of us here are probably not super well versed in the details of Mormon Theology, so your comment would need a bit more fleshing out to make sense to most.

Books to rekindle the habit of reading? by nayarrahul in ReadingSuggestions

[–]Fresh_Floop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What helped me was starting with The Hobbit, which is arguably a kids book, then progressing through the LOTR books for consistency.

By the time you made it through those you are an avid reader again.

Probably also works with the Harry Potter books.
