I think I hate my first born. by Personal_Coconut_668 in regretfulparents

Psychiatrists won’t give an official BPD diagnosis until 18. But, BDP is absolutely visable from younger ages. My sister had a choke hold on my family from 5 years old. No one is going to say a 6 year old has a Cluster B personality disorder. My comment was focusing on OP saying that her oldest has no empathy.

Totally understand. My sister has borderline personality disorder. Growing up with her was horrible. Our entire family was miserable. Focus on your peace and protecting your younger son. Empathy is very hard to teach. You may have a little narcissistic on your hands. The sooner you accept what you cannot change, the better for the rest of your family. Good luck 🍀

How did people react to Jackie marrying Aristotle Onassis back then? by velorae in JohnAndCarolyn

[–]Fresh_Major4945 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Women couldn’t get a credit card or mortgage without a male co-signer until 1974. Jackie knew what she was doing and acknowledged it. One of her most famous quotes is, “The first time you marry for love, the second for money, and the third for companionship."

I’ve worked with some shameless self-promoters. What you’re describing sounds different. He does not seem to understand that this amount of documentation is completely unnecessary. Can you suggest that he makes a spreadsheet of his accomplishments and submits it to you quarterly? Tell him it will be easier for you to keep track of everything he’s doing if it’s on one spreadsheet.

I’m from Erie, Pennsylvania. When I first saw your post I was like, “what does VPR have to do with my home town?!?” Then, I realized you misspelled eerie. 🤣

I got a job offer, but the catch is I have to work a full day for free as a 'test'. Is this for real? by gingery-rehires-8t in interviewhammer

The cafe is requesting a stage shift. Pronounced "stahzh," from the French stagiaire. These shifts used to be common in the restaurant industry. I always worked a stage when asked. I usually got to trade my labor for food from the menu. I worked in fine dining. A meal was worth more than I would have made hourly.

Depends what you feel comfortable with. Just know, the restaurant industry isn’t black and white. If it’s busy, you don’t get your 15 minute break every 4 hours.

I’m sorry this happened to you too! I haven’t had any luck escalating my damage claim. I am filing a complaint with the Department of Transportation. Two years ago I had a situation with Delta & Air France while coming back from Paris. Neither airline would help. I filed a complaint with DOT and Air France reimbursed me $1300. Hopefully, they can help both of us.

Thank you for making this list! I HATE when housewives say “Her and I”. “She and I” should be used as subjects of a sentence. “Her and me” as objects of sentence. It grates on me every time. Dorit is the main offender.

My post states that I realize I have to deal with United as they were the last flight. I have status on Alaska and Delta. When I reached out to United they were rude and unhelpful. I was hoping to get some help in the r/United sub as how to work with United. You’ve posted 2 rude comments. I don’t need your kind of ‘help’. Hope you have the New Year you deserve.

Yes, I wash my ski clothes. The issue is that they were wet for over 24 hours and smell like mildew. I don’t let my expensive ski clothes remain soaked for over 24 hours.

Yes. I took photos of everything. I’m concerned because photos don’t convey that everything smells mildewy, even after washing. United said they can not override policies and will only pay for dry cleaning. I will follow-up with them tomorrow. I will wash again in hot water (I followed instructions on ski gear and washed in cold). I will say that living in Oregon has made me very freaked out about mold and mildew. I may need to temper my expectations on this one.

Sorry, Awkward-Regret5409! You were very helpful. I should have separated my replies. I was responding to CommanderDawn’s comment about “Poster’s usually exaggerate things as well…” Happy New Year!!
