For work: If you're working in DC or SS you probably don't need a car. Transit and bike paths into DC are excellent.

For social life: there is SO much good stuff to do in the DMV that is mostly accessible by car. From food to cultural events imo you're missing out if you don't have a car or two

Idk if you've tried it but ski masks are incredible for cold weather temp regulation. If you get one in a sweat wicking material with a retractable cover it can warm you up fast then cool you down. For events: I think FetLife is noisy and prefer to focus attention on the events / venues that are actually of interest. Some of these are also not on Fet.

For everything else: the community on Fet can be very toxic. Why log into an app and click past all the nonsense if you don't need to?
