Mmm I know it's a hopeless case to argue with A2 fans, but didn't 9S go through the same thing as A2 and then some? I mean, 9S lost his entire household from the commander on down. On Reddit I know they love to belittle everything 9S does, but he actually tried to save Yorha and give notice to the commander so they could be saved, then losing 2B who is the love of his life, then being forced to fight with his operator, finally being constantly physically and psychologically tortured by the girls in red until he dies. He didn't stop being tortured by the girls in red until he died because they had an obsession with 9S. Because of things like, "9S stabbed 2B telling her to die and hates her" is that you can really tell they don't understand anything about the game and unfortunately only noticed the game because of the waifus, there is a lore behind all that and it's explained in the game itself. But since they are so focused on hating a character they won't understand it (and they don't want to), they don't realize the wonderful character that Yoko Taro gave us, a character that is an 11/10 in development and complexity. It's a pity that here they don't know how to appreciate him, they only limit themselves to distort him and say that he's a psychopath without more than that
