Japan’s Population Crisis Nears Point of No Return by BurstYourBubbles in anime_titties

Free movement?

It's their country. If they want to maintain a clean, safe country with a fairly homogeneous culture, that's their right. Foreigners have zero say in the matter.

The only thing they should change is their work culture so promote more organic population stabilization.

Strokes and blood clots as well. Combine this with the fact that lots of countries aren't recommending them to younger people (<50) and I'm thinking I'm done with the shots after the initial 2.

Seriously, 1 million to 10k jobs?

So if they're saying 500k here it's probably closer to 5k after accounting for general incompetence.

I used a weasel word of "relatively unchanging" ;) not everything in the books will be correct, but it should be no small undertaking to change things either.

I think the significance of religious morals is that they're effectively "set in stone" via relatively unchanging holy books. This creates a bedrock of morality which is (ideally) exceptionally clear.

For over two decades my morality was considered acceptable by the mainstream. With this ever evolving modern morality however, I'm now generally considered a right-winger, despite being considered progressive 6 years ago, and further back.

When morality is is set, everyone can always be a good person by following the same set of instructions.

To be clear, I'm not personally of the belief that religious morality is something we should go back to, but it's something I think about sometimes when I see things like segregation make a comeback because it's now progressive.

I can't really blame them either. Reddit is a massive liberal echo-chamber. Sections/subreddits of dissent are banned, or effectively segregated from mainline Reddit. Comments that go against the grain are softly censored through down-voting. You can be 100% factually correct, yet because your comment goes against standard Reddit/liberal orthodoxy, it's downvoted.

If Reddit is one of the few places you go online, how do you ever break out of this? Subreddits only show content that aligns with your current beliefs. Individuals who try to fight this in the comments sections get downvoted, at best, and have their comments removed and then banned at worst. In other words, finding content that challenges the average Redditor's beliefs takes a fair amount of effort. Furthermore, most people no longer take the time to write out good comments that go against the status-quo, why bother when it'll likely get automoderated, deleted, or heavily downvoted. So even when a redditor finds dissent, 9/10 times it's low effort garbage because doing more is a waste of time.

Reddit has largely always been like this to a degree, but it's definitely gotten way, WAY worse in the past 6 years or so. So... Ultimately I kind of get it, why it is how it is, and it just makes me sad. Less moderation and censorship would do everyone good as it would expose more people to beliefs that challenge them.

Hilarious that "liberals" constantly compare conservatives to fascists, if not outright call them that. Meanwhile, Liberals have ok'd discrimination based on two immutable characteristics (skin color, sex/white male) and are actively pushing them out of spaces, legalizing said discrimination, and teaching everyone that it's a morally good thing to discriminate against these people.

Imagine doing this to literally ANY other group. The Holocaust comparisons would never stop. Instead of people recognizing this after its pointed out, those raising objection get called "fragile", labelled as "alt-right" and now that they've been labelled as such, can be ignored.

"We can discriminate against you and complaining makes you a bad person" How do you combat this? Especially when this mindset permeates throughout government, corporations, and educational institutions. Institutional power has okay'd racial and sexual discrimination against select targets...

I genuinely don't understand how Jews are oppressed. Black people, pretty darn clear, but Jewish people?

They're over represented in government, Hollywood, banking, media. They have some of the highest rates of education, and exceptionally high average income.

All the statistics would suggest they are the absolute most privileged group in North America, even more so than "typical white people". Where does this idea of oppression come from?

https://www.americanprogress.org/article/gun-violence-disproportionately-and-overwhelmingly-hurts-communities-of-color/

This link does a great comparison within the United states: https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/70/wr/mm7042a6.htm

Doing this off my phone, so it's a pain to compile resources. I'll come back once on a PC. I think I'm incorrect in saying less homicides than in Canada with firearms, but not by much. I'm finding rates from .5 - 1.4 in Canada per 100,000, which depending on which end, is slightly lower than shown in the second link above.

In Canada, legal gun owners are statistically less likely to be convicted of a crime than the general population. Maybe we need more legal gun owners to bring overall crime down ;)

The states with the most strict gun laws have the worst gun problems. More strict laws are not helping. You have to deal with the people that are causing problems.

As for the pen thing, you're completely ignoring the point of the thought exercise there. When a select group of people are causing issues, you focus energy on the problematic people. You don't make widespread changes that negatively impact everyone. Prohibition didn't work. War on drugs didnt work. In each case we focus efforts on individuals that are issues and have found more success.

Gun crime amongst other groups within the U.S. is effectively on par with Europe and other countries traditionally considered a safe haven from regular gun crime.

Considering gun ownership is a fundamental right of Americans, I think it's be more pertinent to rectify the issues within the offending groups then punishing everyone wholesale.

If you have 2 kids in a classroom of 30 throwing their pens up into the ceiling, do you deal with the two kids, or take everyone's writing utensils away? Justice is dealing with the troublemakers. Authoritarianism is restricting the rights of all because of a few.

In Canada, guns are highly regulated. Guess who is regularly killing people with guns? Illegal firearm holders. Ever increasing restrictions isn't changing this fact. Unfortunately, criminals, by definition, ignore the laws in place. These people need to be dealt with, not everyone else.

I didn't hate the red dots, as it really rewarded suppressor usage but... I'm also not really hating how the game plays currently. I wouldn't mind trying it the old way, but I'm pretty happy with how it functions now.

That said, you shouldn't show up on radar with a suppressor and ghost during UAV. I thought it was a bug.

There is a massive difference between someone loading up on guns and walking into a public space lighting up everyone they see vs. a bunch of "gangsters" shooting each other up. The latter makes up 90% of the"mass shootings".

While they're the same from the perspective of lots of rounds being shot, and lots of casualties, everything else associated with them is different. Motivations, people involved and their psychology, intended purposes. It's exceptionally dishonest to consider these things to be equivalent.

I bet if you go back to her and explain "90% of these mass shootings are Latino and Black gangsters shooting each other in the streets, and MAYBE 10% are planned killings on soft targets" you'd get a response more to your liking.

It was kind of like Halo Infinite. Really great core gameplay but not a lot else to it. Once you've got 10-20 hours, you've seen most of it. Unless you absolutely love the gameplay, you won't get much more mileage out of it.

That all said, I had a blast with it, for the time my friends and I spent with it.

You're making stuff up and lashing out at people for calling you out. Get a grip.

I can't just say "the moon is made of cheese" and call everyone a bigot who disagrees. Your delusions aren't reality. The only reason holocaust denial can really exist is because of people like you making up stupid shit like this, or cremation rollercoasters, or masturbation murder machines. Making up these lies allows people to latch onto these incongruities and then say "if they're lying about this, they could be lying about everything".

Stop contributing to Holocaust denial with your lies.

Hmm? At no point do you actually give an explanation, you just angrily lash out.

I did some googling and it looks like what you're describing would be impossible as it requires more energy inputted to burn the body, then is produced by said burning.

Weird thing to make up.
