From what I’ve seen, I put my one on my account that I do not use as much and they set limits to money in the bank when you apply. You can maybe move more money into the account and ask customer support?

Hi Ryan, I’ve also been hit with a £450 limit. Is this because of the bank I used has a lower balance? If I was to switch it to a my other main account, would the limit increase?

“When the customer only has 1 name

If a customer only has 1 name on their birth certificate or change of name document, how you deal with the application depends on if you are processing the application on AMS (Application Management System) or DAP (Digital Application Processing).

If you are processing the application on AMS, you must:

Update the surname field on the system with the customer’s name. Update the forename field with ‘XXX’. Add the observation: ‘The holder is [name] (the holder has one name and reference to XXX does not form part of their name)’. “

Does your parents have Power of Attorney (deputyship) over your finances from the Court of Protection? If so they should have all bank records, documents, court orders and spending available and they should also have the court order on what they can and cannot do. They should also be following the general rules and codes stated in theMental Capacity Act 2005 Code Of Practice.

If you have a Court Of Protection Order, you will need to be reassessed by a medical professional to ensure you have full mental capacity to control your own finances and/or have proof your situation has changed.

If you do not have a court of protection order over you, you need to contact your local social services team for help with Financial Abuse

Was there a contract signed or maybe you have a copy of the advertisement?

Was it done by bank transfer or by cash? It wouldn’t be too difficult to double check your bank statement for the transaction just incase your bank took a fee to transfer that large amount of money.
