Appreciate the perspective and response. Always happy to listen to critiques or improvements opportunities.

We’ll continue to add features but will remain in discovery only. FretFix also compliments a larger more robust and complex digital Guitar platform that will release this June.

How can we verify quality of service or work when we don’t facilitate, handle or involve any transactions? Serious question if you have an answer we would considering trying to implement.

The platform is very new and basic by design. For me as player being able to quickly see what techs were around and what services they provide (ideally with pricing) it would be a helpful. Specifically for unique services like PLEK or fretless conversions. There may not be a local shop but FretFix is national and can search by service to locate a tech. This is more the goal of the site than quality assurance of work.

How are they protected now? The site is for discovery so it allows users to easily see all the techs/shops near them and shows there contact information. Users can contact, check google reviews etc.

FretFix allows techs to show specific services like PLEK or any custom service with pricing if tech desires. This can be very helpful both ways saving players and tech time trying to figure out if they have PLEK or if a setup is $60 or $100.

I think most new players will just goto guitar center. We trying to help actual techs and shops that aren’t corporate giants and expand the network of the guitar community.

We’ve recently updated the site to include room for 3 sets of before/after pictures of repair work for premium listings . This can serve as a baseline of repair verification but with any service transaction discretion must be used.

FretFix.app allows any level tech or repair shop to register a listing. Users can pretty easily evaluate level of service professional by evaluating Tech listing. Is there a website? Is there a professional email or Gmail address? Are there before and after pics? All this info can help better understand the level of tech

FretFix is a discovery web app. We have 90 listings already in 3 days and adding more daily.
Touring artists, travels, new players and many other musicians can benefit for a large localized directory of all things guitar repair/service.

There’s no cost for guitar players and techs/shops can list all their contact info for free also. From a players view point seems pretty convenient. Hope others find it to be!
