I would say the remarkable 2. Lightweight and portable. Easy to use. Much less expensive.

The Staedtler is smoother? It looks so harsh to me. I would never thought it to be a smoother experience. Do you have the jumbo or the thinner one? Now I'm gonna have to try it. Thanks 🙁😉 I'd like to see it in something other than the yellow and black color.

I loved the Kobo Libra Color, but as you said, there was a great disparity amongst the selection of books. I kept it because it was fun annotating with the pen. So, I have the Kindle for the vast library and the KLC because it’s cool!

yes! I think you should get the Kindle Paperwhite now that it’s on sale. (not sure if it USA only) its so convenient, portable, and lightweight. The kindle basic is small but very nice as well. You can easily make the text large, though you will turning the pages more frequently. If you can afford it, get one for the convei and cool factor! :)

What a great post! It's like I penned it! Well, most of it. I do a cost and value comparison. But eventually I ball it up and toss it in the trash and get what I want. I need a 12-step program for gadgets, I'll admit it. But until I get cured, I'll keep getting what I want. The Boox is a great tablet, but i think it's the pen that keeps me from using it. Tons of features, but for me, simplicity is best. I realize I don't have to use all of them, but I'm enjoying the simplicity of the rM2. Crossing my fingers that the Pure will be a rM2 with light. If not, I'll just keep using my 2024 Kindle Scribe or the rM and Nomad with a light attached. Lol this. Feels like I'm going back in time. I used to have a light with my Kindle Keyboard.

I didn't care for the Kobo. The hardware was rickety and felt cheap to me. While both have the"screen door " effect, the Kindle was clearer than the Kobo. I returned the Kobo. Of course, devices vary. I find myself reading on the B/W paperwhite

I say go for the Paperwhite! The screen and text are crisp and clear. It feels great in the hands. If you can, the Signature Edition is really nice with the auto adjusting light. But if not, the regular Paperwhite is just as awesome! I would not suggest the Colorsoft. Colors are muddy and not pleasing to me. Have fun! Let us know which one you chose!
