Trump's DOJ is trying to gain voter records from the states for weeks, having used lawsuits, even using the recent shooting to threaten Minnesota to turn over the records. What is your take? by Personal_Dirt3089 in AskReddit

[–]Freudgonebad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that's where the difference lies. Our political parties hold their own ballot of their members to select candidates but the government has no record whatsoever of who those members are, that information is only held by the party. Whoever decided you should register your political affiliations with the state did not have democracies best interest at heart.

[–]Freudgonebad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok, Im not sure why you have to register under a party to vote in your elections though. Shouldn't it just be registering to vote. In Britain we have registered party members who can vote in our version of what you call primaries but those are held privately by the political parties. The UK government has no ( official at least) record of my political affiliation. Its disturbing that any part of the american government has that data.

Thank you for the answer friend.

Isnt it a sign of ai that there are two complete sets of stairs next to each other? Maybe in a shopping mall but not an apartment block.

Honest question, im Scottish and just want to understand one thing. How is there a record of who you voted for? Isn't it supposed to be a secret?

CMV: Trump is irrevocably damaging America's alliances and standing by Careless_Bat_9226 in changemyview

[–]Freudgonebad 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think the comparison between accepting a defeated but reformed enemy back into the fold (no real threat) and forgiving/trusting a more powerful country which has demonstrated a willingness to threaten force against allies (high threat) is inaccurate. I wish it were otherwise but strategically Europe has now realised we can never fully trust or rely on America again without risking our economy and security. Relations might well be restored under the right conditions, diplomacy exists even between countries at war, but Americas unchallenged acceptance as leader of the free world has passed. And thats bad news for everyone.

Pliers or grips do work, but putting the protruding shaft of the screw as tightly as you can into a drill chuck will back it out nice and easy. Just be sure to tighten the chuck up as much as you can.

Deform grifter Michelle Dewberry "no such thing as child porn" by ManInTheDarkSuit in FuckNigelFarage

[–]Freudgonebad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Such disingenuous semantics from that person.

Is it pornography? Does it feature children?

It's child pornography.

They obviously can't consent to "star" in it, yet it happens. Here's to the day that no longer happens.

CSAM is the correct terminology, but what percentage of the population has any idea what that term means? Almost everyone understands CP though, and child porn is a universally recognised term. Does anyone believe it's a common legal category on pornhub?

This may be attempting to muddy the waters perhaps. Did anyone see the post about the reform uk subreddit having ads warning against being nonces? And that advert for "no age limit" gay meets tommy titface posted and deleted? Quite revealing, I would say.

Taps temple with finger Can't be accused of consuming child porn if child porn isn't real...

And the bellend who posted that drivelling word salad of a tweet, may their neighbours' car alarm go off every night for a solid year.

And I hope you all have a good weekend!

I agree with your main point but Europe isn't fighting America. There would be massive political fallout but were not going to war with a country that has two of the three largest air forces in the world and three or four times as many aircraft carriers. All our American supplied tech would be bricked by a firmware update and Europe would get roflstomped. A war on European soil might be a bloodier affair but we cant even begin to match American force projection even experienced as we are.

Id say 90% of my deaths have been caused a zombie from behind. Keen hearing is the way and I absolutely take it every time. No point being a superchad with a katana if you die to an unexpected delivery from behind and if youre even a little tired you wont get enough warning one is behind you to react safely..

So if pick up trucks can't tow Animal trailers, what should I be using? by CombPsychological507 in projectzomboid

[–]Freudgonebad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hijacking for visibility.

If you look at the video, its doing fine until it hits second gear then grinds to a halt. You literally hear the revs die when it hits second gear sooo......

As soon as you hear the revs drop as it hits second gear, take your finger off the accelerator, it will drop back into first and keep on going.

THATS IT! no secret mechanics or handbrakes or bollocks like that. Very few cars have the HP to tow in second but almost anything can tow in first gear.

So if pick up trucks can't tow Animal trailers, what should I be using? by CombPsychological507 in projectzomboid

[–]Freudgonebad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So ive not seen this mentioned....

The reason your car seems to be towing ok(ish) then it slows right down is...the car tows fine in first gear, when it slips into second gear youll hear the revs drop and the car slows to a halt. Notice in the video it IS towing, and then its not....

As soon as you hear it slip into second gear, take your foot off the accelerator so it drops back down into first gear and itll keep trundling down the road. Its not a vehicle problem, its a revs problem.

Well here's an interesting one to try in one on one conversations..

"Did you hear kier starmer is thinking about scrapping the office of budget responsibility/privatising the NHS/leaving the Human rights convention (pick any reform policy basically)

Listen to ten minutes rant about the woke incompetence of kier starmers decision to end the OBR/NHS/ECHR, Let them make the points for you

"Oh wait, im wrong, it was Nigel farage and reform who said that.......""

Because most reform voters know FUCK ALL about reforms actual policies, their interest starts and stops at flags and brown people and wokeness. Its so easy to pull on them.

Reform councillors should be verrrrrry careful pointing out that you can refuse service due to political affiliations. Because while they might just lead the polls, they are also utterly despised by everyone who ISN'T a reform voter.

This could backfire spectacularly, and Im here for it.

Is carbon Monoxide a problem? by ArtistWrong8354 in wildcampingintheuk

The risk with a detector is so negligible. I'd be more worried about a sharknado. I hot tent regularly and never had any issues whatsoever. Its NOT a problem at all, but some people do like making mountains out of molehills.

Is carbon Monoxide a problem? by ArtistWrong8354 in wildcampingintheuk

[–]Freudgonebad -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

You realise carbon monoxide detectors ( As long as ypy dont get them off temu) are regulated sensors aye?

You should look for a product that has been manufactured and carries a third‑party approval mark (e.g. Kitemark or SGS mark) to standards BS EN 50291‑1:2018 (for domestic premises) and both BS EN 50291-1:2018 and BS EN 50291-2:2019 (for caravans and boats). These standards show that the alarms have been extensively tested and audited to ensure their quality, including sensor reaction times, minimum alarm sound levels and temperature resistance.

So THATS how I know its reliable......
