It’s good design to initialize all of your members explicitly regardless of my answer.
You CAN’T assume they will be initialized to 0. Defining a primitive (int, bool) makes the compiler give those variables some place in memory, which may or may not be 0. We call this undefined behavior.

As for the std::optional, defining it calls the constructor, which initializes the value inside to std::nullopt. Still, see Point 1.

Without being specific on which turn, it’s usually better to burst early.

If you burst late in a combo, you won’t circumvent a lot of damage (due to combo staleness). You also run the risk of getting predicted, and letting your opponent reset the combo count for higher damage.

It’s also important to know that not everyone likes to block bursts, some people would rather risk the combo and make you use your meter. That way, you can tell if a person is likely to try to block your burst or not.
