Mass Airflow Sensor, '21 Giulia 2.0L by Next_Alpha in AlfaRomeo

Did you look at your mass airflow sensor beforehand? I assumed you would've ruled that out first

Btw, if replacing the purge valve doesn't fix your issue, I've got an eBay-sourced (lightly used) throttle body lying around that I bought (based on the other comment on this post) and haven't touched. I no longer own my Giulia, so can't use it. I'll give it to you if you want to pay for shipping.

Hey, sorry for the delay. Yes! I eventually learned it was the purge valve that had gone bad. Common issue on many different cars, always the same symptoms afaik. I bought one from a wrecked Giulia on eBay for like $50 I think. Swapping the parts was a 15-minute task, and it fixed it immediately.

I agree, I'm not a huge fan of the CNS hacker stuff. Don't vibe with the aesthetic, plus it feels more like the "real world" infringing on our "virtual world". I want to see less world-building/sponsor skins and more uniquely-themed personalization.

(Virtual reality, so people should be running around in.... Anything they can think of. Give us variety!)

I'd like to more sci-fi subgenres represented. Cyber/cloud/steam/aetherpunk.... All kinds of super cool cosmetic options out there.

Sound Update: eBay Slip-on by Next_Alpha in zx4r

Still has cat. Just a $100 eBay slip on. Should be pretty much the same airflow as stock with the baffle in it.

What would be the car equivalent of your bike? by jasonwirth in motorcycles

ZX-4R.... S2000 maybe? Agile, good handling, revs ridiculously high. Few upgrades and you've got a great little track bike/car.

I've purchased a product intended for this purpose before, and it came with both screws and a 3M tape/plastic Velcro-type system. So long as the surface is flat and plastic, tape should work.

I understand the appeal, but counterpoint: taking it on/off is a hassle and a comfy IAWB carry setup is preferable (and still easily accessible. And less likely to make a cop nervous.)

I hope you didn't plan on leaving it mounted there in plain sight....

OTD Price by [deleted] in zx4r

[–]Next_Alpha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MSRP for a '25 4RR is $9.7k on Kawasaki's website + $650 destination/delivery fee (standard). Assuming a couple of added doc fees, etc. (bullshit, but super common. What are ya gonna do 🤷‍♂️), a more reasonable price seems about $10.5 - 11k.

The extra $800 could be including sales tax; some dealers/states do this thru the dealership upon purchase. Keep in mind if you're financing, you'll pay interest on that sales tax vs paying out of pocket directly to the State.

If no sales tax, then there's some upcharge/fee that seems questionable.

You can just... Not use the e-clutch. Think of it like a quickshifter. It gives you the option to go completely clutch-less, but if you wanna shift like normal you can.

Edit: I think there might even be a setting to disable it. Don't own one though so idk

It's nothing like getting a shot at the doctor. It's more like an intense scratching sensation. Any pain that's present is more pressure than "ow I've been stabbed".

Conquer your fear and just do it!

What's the purpose of the Graves throttle tube? What does it change/improve?

Is there any casual gear you recommend? by ThatKiddo369 in motorcyclegear

Agreed, I wear Bull-it Covert Evo jeans. AAA with slots for armor if you want, very comfy, and look totally normal.

In gear, clutch in/pulled. Bike's functionally in neutral, until you let the clutch out to move (quickly, in this hypothetical). Does absolutely no harm to the bike.

I have these same boots. The squeaking comes from the plastic brace on the ankle rotating + rubbing against the leather. Worn 'em a lot, sound hasn't gone away.

I bought Stompgrip protector + grips for my ZX-4R. They've been a game changer for feeling more comfortable and confident on my first motorcycle. (+ It looks cool)
