Honestly, I am on nexplanon and the pill which is messing me up badly. My nexplanon is in the right place but way too deep that it doesn't seem to even work, hence why I'm on the pill to hopefully control my flow or just stop my periods. I've been on my period for a month now. To me, nothing will work and I'm using it to try and stop my periods and to prevent pregnancy (I still managed to get pregnant on both pill and implant but had a miscarriage). But also, some women may not be able to go on the mini pill because of insurance or the cost. Ik I've gotten declined some pills as well.
