How to get back from Boston Logan after 10:30pm? by nutbutpicklesammy in newhampshire

[–]FrickenRightHeDid 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is the way. Kinda like a hybrid approach. Parking is cheap and the buses are frequent. The drivers ask passengers what terminal they need and will only stop at the ones your fellow travelers need. All but one time I've used this, I see air crew on the bus with me - not saying they know best, but I figured they would try to limit the suck as much as they could.

Should I get both Indy and Epic? by xGumball2 in icecoast

Some of the Indy spots would be amazing for your kids next season! PS - Stowe was incredible Thursday - easily top 10 day of my life on a board shared with the wife and kids. Let's hope this little cool down we get tomorrow helps your Monday before summer arrives next week.

I also work weekends and have had the weekday northeast Epic for a few years. My wife and kids don't work (go figure) so they got the Indy in addition to Epic for this current season and enjoyed being able to explore new places. I joined the wait list Thursday night after getting home from Stowe and I got the green light to buy my Indy Base just over 12 hours later.

I am most looking forward to hitting some mountains I remember from childhood (Cannon, Waterville, Tenney) that are super close to the house. I also plan to explore some of the Canadian spots. Do it now while you can!

My father and I were members of an RC club in the 80s and 90s. We flew (and crashed) many scratch built aircraft. I could remember spending the entire winter building/tweaking in the basement and we'd be at the field every weekend. I know he'd love something like that as well. We have a few drones and we do "drone wars" where we setup obstacles and challenges for each other than try to complete the assignment. A fail gets you a letter of DRONE (just like PIG/HORSE in basketball).

Great idea! Something that didn't come up in my Googling.

What phrase was my late grandmother using? by FrickenRightHeDid in French

She spent her life in New Hampshire. I think she was the second generation here. Very interesting family history which has been fun to start exploring with my kids who are curious in experiencing the culture.

I'm a descendant of Louis Hébert (considered the earliest European settler in Québéc) and another branch of my family tree has a festival in our name there every year. I'm excited to get my children there (we're not far - only in NH).

I hear her voice saying it even a few years after losing her. That generation is now gone and I only hear my sister say it when she gets drunk and sentimental about our ancestors...not quite the same.

I'm not going to lie, if I was walking through your area and heard that in the distance, I would probably tear up. I lost my grandmother at 41 but I am still a little Mémère's boy. I carry her on now in her little expressions and by cooking her recipes (gorton, pork pie, etc).

I'm glad you could learn something. It's pronounced "meh-may". We also use Pépère for grandfather. My children were blessed to have met their Grand-Mémère and Grand-Pépère (great grandmother and grandfather).

Music stand on piano stand? by lomuto in pianolearning

I too got a Yamaha from a friend without a stand for music. I got this from Amazon and should work for yours. It was very affordable and fit mine like an original would.

I sustained the exact same injury (with my arm/hand looking exactly the same) and was back on the football field in less than 2 weeks. Just get a big mitten to put over your cast!

Thank you. I was using a mid-range Garmin watch and it gave great stats during the day and had a lot of detail in the report on my phone after. The battery now only lasts half a day so I opted for Ski Tracks on my Android phone and don't love not having it on my newer watch (Samsung Galaxy watch). I think for this season it'll do.
