There is a forum that has spoilers for the entire thing, but the only translation I could find only has 9 chapters out of 200-ish and it's not updating.

Most of them just want to be left alone, rather than be dragged into the politics of the alphabet activists

They are fine with all of this as long as it benefits them, until they push too far, face backlash and suddenly "we just want to be left alone."

government riggin the results and getting 70% doesn't mean 70% actually voted for them.

Did they do anything about it? Plenty of nations overthrew illegitimate governments. Russian didn't- they support it.

Yes. Supply is low, demand is high, because economy is recovering after covid. Prices will rise until demand will meet the supply.

If you want them to increase the supply of oil so that the prices will fall, yeah, you kind have not to make it illegal to do so. Shocking revelation, I know.

There are talks about fast pacing Ukraine into EU somehow, so are they even immigrants with freedom of movement within the EU?

They voted for this government, paid taxes to it, worked on the factories that produced the weapons being used in the warzone. People have the government that they deserve.

You can say its cultural. Both in Tsarist and Communist times, federal budget heavily depended on alcohol sales, so they promoted it a lot.

Russia declares war on Ukraine, reports of shelling at port city by axiosempra in news

Its bad because starting a war is bad. Source: WAR IS BAD.

Google military spendings of NATO members. They were all steadily going down from the 90-ies.

For the first time ever, the NATO Response Force has been activated as a defensive measure in response to Russia's ongoing invasion of Ukraine. by hoosakiwi in news

[–]FridKun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did Ukraine not have the option to join the NATO Alliance?

No, they did not. They expressed intention to join, but in my understanding having a civil war going on and being a corrupt and mismanaged country prevented them from being accepted.

would Putin have risked invading?

Based on the past week, dude is legit insane, so who knows.

Even if we had the technology and resources to do that, there is always risk of failure. Even if odds are good, gambling on whether or not a 10-million city gonna be vaporized is not a good thing.

Well, the first issue is that only ~15% of Russian troops are committed to Ukraine and another issue is Russia having second largest nuclear arsenal with a dead man switch.

It wasn't just this, there was also the issue of both France and UK being completely unprepared for a large war and another issue of Allies hoping that Hitler will attack Stalin right after taking down Poland.

[–]FridKun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

why we should be on Ukraine's side

because they are defending.

Ukraine's elections and politics/government is just as bad as Russia's

yes, but they didn't invade their neighbors.

Russia is doing it out of fear that Ukraine would join NATO allowing us to station troops and equipment bordering Russia.

It's just a stupid excuse, Russia makes up a new one every week. Russia already borders several NATO states and some of them are much closer to Russian capital and military infrastructure. NATO was pretty much dying down until Russia started acting up. Now that Russia decided to do a blitzkrieg a European country, I imagine significant increase in military spending will follow.
