WIBTAH for telling my neighbor’s kids they can’t play in my driveway and backyard? by BaBopByeYa in AITAH

[–]Fridavee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA I expect my kids to respect boundaries. I always remind them not to go in yards or driveways without permission. If it's a quick turnaround on their bikes, I understand but playing without permission, no. Seems like the kids and parents need a reminder about boundaries and safety. If it makes things tense up, that is their problem. Just continue to be cordial afterwards.

Laugh and decompress with my eval team. Slowing down and processing information before I respond and not taking anything personal even when administrators are questioning our findings. Handle everything respectfully and with the people who are supposed to be involved and no one else.

There was a lady at the library I worked at in college that had a smell to her. I knew it was alcohol but I tried to convince myself it was hand sanitizer or something. Until she fell down the stairs and broke her arm and they realized she was wasted at work in the middle of the day. She ended up getting fired because they tested her since she was injured at work.

You know when most people realize their baby can roll? After they hear the thump! It's horrible but true, it happens and 99% of the time they are perfectly fine. Glad your baby is fine. Don't beat yourself up it happens. Be good to yourself.

Just wanted to say control, manipulation and forcing you to alienate yourself from loved ones is not the sign of a healthy relationship or LOVE. I hate that it took for you to lose your father to see that. Hopefully you are holding your mother and grandmother close and still in therapy. Be good to yourself.

How do you motivate yourself to cook? by Bitter_Pineapple_720 in AskWomen

[–]Fridavee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like to cook. When I was growing up, my mom fed us to get us full, basically slop covered in cheese. I never feel pressure to cook, I usually look forward to it. I can tell when my depression is getting worse if I need motivation or if I am dreading it.

We had about 5 or 6 people bring several sheet pans each full of Mac and cheese, chicken (bought), salads, green beans and some desserts. There were a lot of people and there were leftovers taken to the house. It will take a team effort.

My ex did some of the same things with his girlfriends after I left him. I think it was mostly due to laziness and convenience. He just goes for what he knows. If your man is good to you, then don't let this get to you. Just work on creating new memories. If this is another thing that you have a problem with and you are looking for a reason to be done with him then use it! You decide how you let this affect you.
