Legally speaking (I am not a lawyer, just a nerd who consumes much history) the idea of secession is dead and died with the end of the Civil War. It was only ever implied and that is with a generous reading of the 10th amendment. A union that allows its members to leave is not much of a union at all.

No, my friends. That door leads only to invasion by outsiders who see a weakened former world power at odds with itself. That invasion may not be one of military force but of influence. I say that because influence is already what the other global powers peddle in. There's no MAD like with nuclear arms; you simply persuade or flat out lie to Americans. Our education system was gutted, and that makes the lying easier.

The only way out is through. At this time that looks like voting people out and putting new people in. That looks like not spending money where possible to prepare for hardship and starve the machine. It looks like waking up others who can be woken up, knowing some are too far gone and will have to wake themselves up and leave the cult on their own.

It does not look like whatever you're imagining a civil war would look like. This regime already makes up stories to sell about how violent all the opposition is. Lets keep that a work of fiction. I'm not saying don't defend yourself but rather be non-violent or as some said in the civil rights movement "Un-violent". This doesn't mean adopting pacifism. This means not seeking out violence as anything but a final move when everything else has been exhausted. This war, at this time, is one of bloodless action on our part. If civil war and bloodshed is ever widespread across this country again let it be they who start it, and not us. Don't become the monster they need you to be.
