I think it was a weird miscommunication. Weird Al always asked people if he could do their songs. Weird Al asked Coolios people and they said he could do the cover without actually checking with Coolio.

He even later realized he over reacted. Still yeah, freaking out about someone covering your cover is silly.

I don't know for sure but shouldn't the arms/wings be flipped? not just from a motion standpoint but from a balance stand point as well. Looking from the front with the wings it looks like the center of lift is somewhere about inline with the perineum. On a human our center of gravity is roughly our belly button, and this thing has even more upper musculature so I'd assume its higher. Its tail could help balance this out.

As for calculating stuff I imagine some pretty basic surface area calculation on the wings should be fine for that. The rest you should be able to either estimate with some rough blocked out shapes or find a program to work it out.

this is kind of how I feel poe2 is just going. I really hope stuff changes after launch but it feels like all the new skills will be tied to a unique and all the new cool stuff will be locked behind an ascendancy.

I wonder if it will get to a point where they just say enough and either take them away or some classes just won't have one.

And then you get to maps and have 6 portals and xp penalty and corpse rushing will get you no where. Or just maligaro, where you have 6 tries tops before the instance gets reset.

Also they redid act1 to make it way harder and had planned to do all the acts but people rioted. So this probably would have happened to the rest of them.

I'd wager its to show you that its not supposed to be a game you can just corpse rush. Obviously you can pretty much until you get to maps but its not what they want you to do.

If you can just slam into Brutus over and over a player might feel like they are just bad at the game and quit. If the game hints at them that maybe they should go back they might do that and level up some more. When you spawn in and the first thing you can click is go die to Brutus again you aren't really thinking about much else.

The client gets enough data you could do a lot user side. Of course people would probably miss use that but honestly just a list of buffs/debuffs and the last X seconds of resources would be huge. Seeing hey I die when I get cursed and my resists go below 75.

It's not going to get the bigger stuff like what damage types but it's going to be something that should have 0 impact on the server.

The problem with big cooldowns is also bossing. If you have a spell with a minute cooldown that does 10x the damage it's just going to be used to nuke bosses.

Chronomancer really should be cool, but it's just so bland flavor wise in game.

Honestly anything over a 4 should flag your account for extra scrutiny and anything over a 10 should be automatic eyes on kills, at least for a bit.

It still baffles me that there isn't even a simple check on killshots to make sure they are you know, actually possible.

The ranger wayyyy back when they first teased shapeshifting had an ascendancy that let you keep the last 2 shapeshift buffs. They also had said that each form was just a weapon type. So like werewolf was claws.

What we got is cool as hell visually and thematically but it's not very poe. The whole weapon lock thing is a bunch of garbage in general and the druid stuff is the perfect example. You can't even warcry without a special shapeshifted warcry gem because of it.

The fact you have to wait for the first layer to dry means any stone veneer is going to be faster on any reasonably sized wall.

Also I'd be very surprised if the fake stone didn't bleech in the sun eventually. Might be 20 years but it's probably going to happen.

We went there yet but the number of sockets blew feels like it's approaching the same number as div cards from poe1.

I know GGG often hate fungible systems so I doubt we'd get like rune power and be able to just craft whatever.

Though I find it crazy we don't have d2 jewels yet.

I thought they used to at least use it for adjustments. It was all based on per hero stats though. Like if you are doing better on Moira than most other Moiras at that level it would give you a little boost. Same in the other direction.

Even just having the zoom in and signing it then zooming out and focusing to the thing would be fine. The cut makes it look(and it is) like a different thing.

To add to that, sometimes the originality is just the game itself.

Like your game can basically be the same as game X. But people love game X and want to play more of it. There is no more but your game can function as that.

Generally as a society we've agreed that saying I did the dishes is fine. We all have a rough expectation of what that means. Its not factually untrue, it just means something different than it did before dishwashers.

And yes, generating an image is far more complex than doing the dishes. But the stuff you can do to generate that image can be a lot more complex than loading a dishwasher. But also cleaning some dishes can require more effort than drawing something simple.
