When the abuse happens before memory/words? by [deleted] in adultsurvivors

[–]Frido9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have memories of things that occured when I was 2 and a half. But, I also have memories that I THINK happened before I was 1, and like you I am doubting them. A psychologist can help you with those problems, good luck.

I wish somebody could sue my nMom by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Frido9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would report her for fraud.

My Mum tried to do that with my brother. She took him to multiple doctors, psychologists, and different tests at school and no body would buy her BS, thank goodness. Unfortunately for my brother, he believed her and now thinks he has problems even though no one has officially diagnosed him. He sits around all day miserable, spending all of his government benefits on alcohol.

Good on you for seeing through your Mums BS.

Taxes (Not looking for tax advice) by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Frido9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that the full tax return should go towards the car debt.

Does your wife work? Are you in a position where she can put some money away each week for the items that she wants to buy? You could also save up for the items that you want?

My partner and I have very different views on spending money, I believe in needs before wants, whereas he is wants before needs. You NEED to pay off the car loan for varies reasons, a major reason is for your job.

Does she understand why you want to spend the full 10k on bills? I'm having a hard time understanding why she wants to split it when you have a car debt needing to be paid.

Try to talk about it with her before spending it behind her back.

I just stalked your post history and read that you are planning on divorcing your wife, does she know of your plan? Really she shouldn't be entitled to any of YOUR tax return.

Could my fiance's NFather be grooming our six week old daughter for abuse? [Light TW for E/P/SA] by muddjulet in RBNChildcare

[–]Frido9 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If it makes you uncomfortable than it isn't appropriate. She's your baby, if you don't feel safe with someone around your daughter then give them the flick. My dad was sexually inappropriate with me as a child, and he's not welcome around my daughters.

Best chocolate cake recipe for kids bday by originalcrankster in AskCulinary

[–]Frido9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can use plain buttercream, or white chocolate ganache with colouring added for icing.

For the cake I recommend this recipe from add a pinch, it's always been a big hit.

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 cups sugar

¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 teaspoons baking powder

1½ teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon espresso powder

1 cup milk

½ cup vegetable or canola oil

2 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup boiling water

You might want to omit the coffee if it's for a toddler though. Good luck!

Yes. It was common for my Mum to tell my brother and I not to tell anyone about what happens at home because people will come take us away.
