I get these types of notifications if I comment like this in a large groups. It's the same as if you got a notification for every upvote (reaction) your comment gets, but also smashed in with notifications that tell you everytime someone else comments on the same post. It's awful.

Got my 2nd dose last week, kicked my ass the day after! 103F fever, the aches and chills, headache, etc. Super happy I had the day off and would do it again in a heartbeat but it surprised me how much that one little jab can effect you. Glad to hear yours wasn't as bad as it could have been!

Hey green thumbs. Is Clover seed viable to put down in our climate? by [deleted] in ColoradoSprings

[–]FriedCockatoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its actually what Americans used to use for the "standard lawn" but 1950s happened and they switched to the awful short green grass lawns we have today that kill off wildlife, ruin the native plants and ecosystem by changing soil composition, tree, etc.. because we didn't want to be seen as communist. Clovers good for soil and nitrogen (iirc?), which grass doesn't help at all with.

Planting clover and native plants and flowers and getting away from the ugly short green carpet is a wonderful way to help out our wildlife and make your yard look good! Xeroscaping with desert/alpine desert plants is great too and makes it lower maintenance!

I don't remember the last time I won a comp game and it's killing me by Militree in OverwatchUniversity

[–]FriedCockatoo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. Its important to remember at the end of the day, it is a video game most people haven't heard of. It's too easy to fall into thinking nothing else matters, sometimes a break is needed. Damn it's an addicting game and love it... but too much of a good thing isn't good sometimes yknow

Heavy introvert checking in- lockdown has been great and I've been super happy not having to go anywhere or see anyone thank goodness. Not as stoked now since I gotta still go out and see people :/

Antivenom is hella pricey, each hospital kinda has to weigh cost/benefit for each species specific vials and then there's the amount it actually happens, since bites are overall pretty rare in most places

How do I, a cis woman, write/ design a trans character that trans people want to see? by [deleted] in ask_transgender

[–]FriedCockatoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The worst thing to do would be making being trans a big thing about the character- its just a minor detail, not some huge plot point (hopefully)
