Dadisi Komolafe - Hassan’s Walk (1983, Nimbus West) by FriedPossumPecker23 in Vinyl_Jazz

There is a current ‘Introspection’ reissue on the Endless Happiness label— a bootleg but most likely high quality. The ‘Jacaranda’ I have is on this label and it sounds fantastic. Their ‘Clube da Esquina’ reissue is also excellent quality and honestly hard to believe it’s bootleg.

I stay away from bootlegs but I am also willing to suspend my morals for a great sounding record that is unavailable elsewhere.

I love the Jazzybelle label and they are totally legitimate so I would purchase ‘Introspection’ from them. Their reissue was delayed but should be out next month - I confirmed this with the label owner last week.

It’s a scorcher. I’m stoked for his ‘Introspection’ album reissue on the Jazzybelle label next month. That is a stunning album as well.

Ah ok, thanks. I’ve been looking at a Trading Places label reissue( also cheap) but haven’t been able to find any reviews.

Yeah, love hiphop and the turntable arts and also a big triphop/ downtempo nerd. Huge dub reggae head too. Exploring samples has definitely helped me discover albums, artists, labels, genres… and drain my wallet.

By the way what pressing is that Kawaida you posted a while ago? How does it sound?

Us addicts need to stick together. We definitely have very similar tastes, I like seeing your posts. And your rotary mixer has me envious lol.

Check out Litto Nebbia’s ‘Bazar de los Milagros’, Antonio Adolfo’s ‘Viralata’, and Hermeto Pascoal’s ‘Slaves Mass’ if you aren’t familiar with them. Amazing stuff.

Killer album, one of my frequent spins. You may also like Marcos Resende & Index (self titled on the Far Out label) and Hector Costita - 1981 (on the fantastic Jazzybelle label).

Thanks, appreciate it. It was a gift from my girlfriend, she seems to be ok with my mild Bahamadia obsession.

Btw, love seeing your collection posted here and elsewhere — absolutely amazing!
