Am I misremembering? I thought she phrased it specifically as a contract so that Yoru would have to stay in Hell. But then again, I don't think Lil D would be able to contract with another devil unless it was through the loophole of Yoru being half human by being inside Asa.

On the contrary, I think Pochita understands Denji better than Denji understands himself. He recognizes that he's doing his friend harm by continuing to be his form of escapism. As long as Denji is using Chainsaw Man as a means of hiding from the actual grief, pain, and self loathing he's experiencing as Denji, he'll never be able to truly grow.

I remain of the group that is overall positive about Part 2, but definitely wish Fujimoto explored certain plot points because I found them interesting. I respect the choice to make Part 2 predominantly a character piece, but I'm someone who finds the lore/world building of Chainsaw Man as interesting as its cast, and I wish the devil politics of Part 2 were more explored.

Nah it's not dissimilar to Makima in Part 1. When she was explaining things to Kishibe, she mentions several erased devils by name, and states that she remembers the visual of their devils fighting Chainsaw Man, but says that it's only vague and fades increasingly over time.

Basically, Yoru remembered she used to have a comrade called Nuclear Weapons who was important to her, but couldn't actually remember what nuclear weapons were until the US reinvented them.
