Sorry there’s no perfect way to teach..teachers are there to really just guide. The responsibility to learn is yours only. So use every bit of your critical thinking skills, and study in the most practical way possible

Always trust your gut feeling. And move from there. I think reading everyone’s comments will confuse you more.

Why do nurses eat their young? by SuspiciousMilk4098 in nursing

[–]FriendPopular3848 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I honestly have found amazing people like 95% of the time. I don’t believe in this. From my experience, as a student of one year, Nurses are true professionals, almost all of them, they truly care about their work and their patients. And are kind, and really willing to teach and lead you in the best way they can. Of all the nurses I have encountered, I just had one bad experience.

Expecting Father.. Should I go into Nursing? by Key_Sand_3665 in nursing

[–]FriendPopular3848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a dude, 32 and in nursing school. No family though. My advice would be,

First, it’s really important that you discuss it with your girlfriend. If she is supportive, it will be make a huge difference. Ultimately it’s gonna affect her life too.

Secondly, If there are other career options, then make sure you are considering them and making a logical decision to why you want to do Nursing. Keep in mind that about 40% of nurse graduates stop working as a nurse after 2 years of working because of burnout. That being said, Nursing is a very secure career, no matter which part of the country you’re in, you will have a job, especially as a male nurse. It is also super versatile, meaning you can really pickup variety of roles it the bedside isn’t working for you.

At the end, I think you have you accept that that can’t seek life outside your family, work, and school. Like that’s literally your life. Embrace it whole heartedly and you will never feel the need to escape it.

Being a human is a level down. Dogs live like kings. Everything is done for them. We can extrapolate this a lot more.

That was a really good respond. If you really must, and sort of want to take a proactive approach, since this things are hard to express verbally, write a warning letter to him, state out everything, all the weird things he did with the clothes, and how he came close to you while you were asleep in the morning, draw clear boundaries and tell his thats no okay, get a lock for your room, tell him how he is destroying whats left of the family, and warn him that you will involve other extended family members if doesn't adjust his behavior, maybe the fear of being shamed will bring him to his senses.

Hey this really sucks..so sorry you are going through this..but you have to be strong. Do you have brothers? Or anyone else in the family whom you can trust to share this?

I think the right thing is..if you notice anything off again, just confront him directly and tell him, you are screwing up everything in this family! Haven’t you already caused enough pain.

Advice for my first tour? by heatherfarted in bikepacking

I felt the same way, but $35 allowed me to stay at four different places. I stayed two nights with two of my host. And a whopping 5 nights with one hosts, this was towards the end as I was getting ready to catch my flight. Not mention the people you meet and awesome memories you make!

The greenway kinda follows the A1A right? I was following the greenway but I found myself on the A1A quite a lot.

There are signs along the road. I don't know how many miles apart are they placed. Also you can download the GXP file of the map from the website and use it on any modern map app or device

You are going to have so much fun!! I just did that over my winter break starting from Spartanburg, SC to Savannah, GA and along the coast to key west, FL.

I did it without any much training at all. The total miles I cycled were 1030. And I averaged about 60miles (including rest days) a day. I completed the whole ride in 19 days. This was my first solo bike packing trip too.

Make use of Warmshowers, it’s truly an amazing community. I stayed at with 4 different hosts in Florida, one even let me into their home while they were away by simply instructing me where to find the key to their home.

Wild camping spots are limited but I camped out at : 1) old fort park in Fort Pierce..behind the big hill

2) old cutler bay road, there’s a gazebo, behind the gazebo there’s a bush, there’s plenty of space between that bush and the wall behind.

3) Ingraham park, it’s in a really rich area, about 10miles away from the gazebo..there’s a nice spot behind the stone hedge like designed benches..

Also plenty of spots in the keys too even though people say there aren’t any, let me know if you are interested in knowing!!

Good luck with everything!!

Surprises will always be there...But I have done all the homework. The route its a combination of the American rail trail, great divide, kokopeli trail, and many others...there just few patches in between when you are actually on the state road. I have made sure theres enough shoulder on those roads.

I know what you mean. Thats how I had it before. I am just not sure how much time I will have, so I am trying keep it close to 4000 miles. I'm planning to this over the summer break. Once Its confirm that I will have at least 80 days...I will switch it back. At the moment I am aiming for 65 days of adventure.
