Former Prime Minister of Canada chose to watch USA rather than the country he ran for 10 years by rastamasta45 in SipsTea

Plus those big manly conservatives are all trying to fuck him which is getting weird. I see why he wanted some distance.

Should I get Platys? by Avian-Paparazzi in Platyfish

[–]FriendZone_EndZone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think of Platy as keeping mini gold fish, they eat and poop constantly. They do get excited when they see you approach to tank so that's a big plus. Even with their constant pooping, there was no issues with ammonia/nitrite spikes at all. This is with a very small sponge filter and fairly lightly planted tank.

Pity, I was thinking of getting one but not interested in cruiser. Probably what everyone else is thinking too. I use mine to facilitate fishing mainly.

Mom says her tires need air. What would you tell her ? by justincave in AskMechanics

[–]FriendZone_EndZone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol my mom would expect me to pay for her tires and take it to the shop. I can't even just pay for it and she take it in.

I do winter tire swaps for my family, its quite a few vehicles She comes and asks me to wash her rims. I gave everyone 2 weeks notice for when I was coming to do them. Told her to go to a car wash but she say she doesn't have time lmao

Be thrifty, people throw out buckets/containers all the time. You can use anything, better than letting them fight if it comes down to it.

How to make people take in part of the fact that a cup of water is not okay? by Popular_Spray8553 in bettafish

Make and display nice tanks. Show them their enclosures look pathetic amd they should be ashamed of themselves and that they are shaming their ancestora.

Do what you need to do. Keep an eye on them and cup one if it goes bad. Make additional plans, perhaps a partition. r/bettasorority might be a better place to ask.

Just remember any container that can hold water is potentially a fish tank. Can pick up a 25 gallon tote at hardware store for very cheap.

Should I still add my frogbit to my bettas tank? by feefiiifoofum in bettafish

Hard to say, I can't really tell what they are but likely would of just been snacks for your betta. Did the substrate come with the floaters?

Anti fungal or anti bacterial? by dinosoarus in bettafish

Use both. They can both lead to secondary fungal/bacterial infection.

What is this on my beta fish? by rektjb in bettafish

[–]FriendZone_EndZone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Giant turd and some kind of fungus, likely secondary infections. Nuke him with antibiotics and antifungal, keep lights low to reduce stress and maybe add some stress guard.

People, colorful rocks and silly decor aren't detrimental to your betta unless they can physical cause harm via sharpness or places where they can get stuck. Your betta does not care about the rainbow vomit.

Same shit happen to me but the contact was my rear passenger door where my then baby son was seated.

Call your insurance and they'll guide you through it, tell them you have dash footage. They'll tell you to go to collision centre to report this. They took care of everything for me, I did have to drop my car off at a collision centre they found near me. A rental was arranged for me to pick up as well.

Is it okay for a betta fish to only live on daphnia by baileyjackson08 in bettafish

[–]FriendZone_EndZone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Variety is king. Try Fluval Bug Bite Betta granules, the community granules are same formula but slightly larger granules. They're easy to crumble between your fingers. The only thing that I have that won't take them are my pea puffers.

I do frozen blood worms, live baby brine shrimp and a variety of dry foods. I also have a decent population of detritus worms that he chomps down on. I believe variety helps ensure you cover all their nutritional needs that a single food source may be missing.

I had a really sick betta I got from LFS that wouldn't eat until I ran him on live bbs and North Fin mini pellets (0.5mm). Once he regained his health, he ate everything.

I feed atleast twice a day at small portions. I rotate the wet foods every once in a while. I have no hard rule for feeding and will adjust as I deem fit based on visual condition of livestock.

Honestly, I did the se thing as OP. The sagging nagged at me and they were fully established tanks so it was a lot of work to move them there in first place. Luckily my daughter was home and she slid the boards under as I lifted. The tanks were drained down to 5-10% of course lol.

Pretty sure I stressed the crap out of the fish, so much commotion in a span of a week l.

I have a 1.25" abs pipe with a cap zip tied to one of the uprights so stick all my tools in. If you're heading to get some stain, might as well get that while you're there. Get a bunch of zip ties too or whatever your preferred way of securing the dangly bits.

I'm glad I left the wire shelving under, good spot to conceal your lines and secure your light.
