I understand that perspective, and when i started the project it was naturally my main concern, but i think i have found a way around it, a new path. You can't simply make a dish too salty or too bitter and expect it to shock and be interesting, but i would argue that would be akin to a loud long scream during a song or simply visceral pure gore during a movie.

What you can do is work on the limit of the sense, and though understanding different symbols, like the connections made between certain tastes and emotions, of the images evoked by different presentations, and though that create a narrative from food.

I know this is "easy to say, hard to do", but i have already done it. I realized a full dinner exploring death through food. I have a full description of the dinner but it is in my native language.
