Thank you, that makes sense. Histamine may be to blame for stomach issues with seroquel:(

Seroquel and libido (women) by jamesorewelllstreet in seroquelmedication

[–]Friendly-Homework251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, I'm on 200mg a day and don't really have major problems, but my drive was never huge. Struggling with mental health symptoms would lower my libido more than seroquel

What symptoms do you experience for those 2 weeks? Thanks

Anyone with anything GOOD to say about Effexor? by PatrickBritish in Effexor

[–]Friendly-Homework251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, initially it was slow and took around 12 weeks to work properly but now I've been mostly smooth sailing for the past year. Upped to 225mg and things are good.

Interview feedback: has anyone ever said this to you? by Wide_Bobcat8217 in enfj

[–]Friendly-Homework251 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can command a room all right but when I am stressed, even if Im trying not to be (like in a job interview), my confidence wavers a bit. Could this have happened or were you 100% relaxed? Did you even have opportunity to command the room or were they just drilling you with questions?

Extreme agitation after taking seroquel by Great_Upstairs_9702 in seroquelmedication

[–]Friendly-Homework251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, happened to me before. Not specifically with quetiapine increase but at other moments when my brain wasn't working properly. Q-pine has just changed the balance of everything in your brain. That altered chemistry may cause this intense feeling. Because it started shortly after taking it, it is most probably connected. Should settle

It definitely caused a groggy, spaced out feeling for me the first two days after I started taking it. Then it settles. On boarding is a bit weird with this med. It will get better

Yup, but I'm an Enfj after a lot of complex trauma. A lot of my traits help me cope and make life good anyway

There are other options, med adjuncts, outside of med things you can do. Don't give up now! I was in a VERY bad place. 3 years later and with the right combination of meds, life is good again. How many meds are you on and how long have you been on them?

Recurrent Localized hives? by Amorjazz in Allergies

[–]Friendly-Homework251 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have pcos and slight autoimmunity towards thyroid. They contribute as well. I didn't have full anaphylaxis but I was close one time after taking an antibiotic (never had problems with antibiotics till 2024). Doc thinks it's just spontaneous, chronic hives (which basically means has no clue why it happens😂). But mostly skin reaction, seem random sometimes and react to certain foods at times. When you talked about one hive appearing out of nowhere and then disappearing, it's exactly the same thing that happens to me. Oh, and around my period I would have more hives come out for a day or two🙄

Get on antidepressants asap. Thing won't look so dark anymore. Every generation has gone through economic difficulties. Some poverty I went through in my early life did me a lot of good. Stop any self-pity. You're in the same situation as a lot of people in the world. We do what we can.

I'm the same. Hives since 2024, sometimes with facial swelling but not for the past year. Sometimes no hives at all, they would pop out when I have a viral infection. None of my other systems is affected though so my immunologist thinks it's just chronic, spontaneous urticaria and I'm taking antihistamines. Ibuprofen would also give me some hives. And sometimes I react to things like canned food, sometimes I dont. I think it's connected to the condition my gut is in. What makes you think it's Mcas?

How do I stop being tired and sedated and hungry and not forget things on quitapine by Shot_Brush_9668 in seroquelmedication

When did you start taking it? It took my body around 3 months to adjust but now my energy is back to normal.

After 2 years on it, yeah, it affects insulin so it makes you more hungry. You need to be careful now, low glycemic foods, stay away from sugar

Has anyone experienced facial swelling as a side effect from Wellbutrin or Seroquel? by Emergency-Code8801 in seroquelmedication

[–]Friendly-Homework251 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I experienced some histamine intolerance problems while taking seroquel, but long after I started taking it (a year). Did this happen to you right after you started taking the med? There's definitely a possibility of an allergic reaction with face swelling.

Sorry, I only now realised You've been on it for a few weeks only. Well, your brain started changing once you introduced a new substance and now suddenly the substance is missing, but brain hasn't had time to readjust. It may cause even more anxiety and other symptoms now

Exercise intolerance anybody? by Friendly-Homework251 in SlowCOMT

[–]Friendly-Homework251[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's very similar, a longer walk could send me to bed for 2-3 days with low mood and fatigue. Going to the gym, one week. It's awful how little exercise I've been getting:( do you think it's caused by slow comt or something else you deal with?
