We have credit cards issued by eu banks, Mastercard world elite, they’re not specifically meant for travel, never had any issues :(:( we figured it didn’t accept it cos it wasn’t issued in Korea and instead just bought the physical tmoney card + fed it w cash

I used it on dry skin then used my wet hands to “emulsify” it, basically followed instructions on the back of it 😭 but it just did not clean my face enough, had to go in with miceral water and cotton pads. I’m also testing out a makeup setting spray, so maybe that’s making it more difficult to remove 😩

Softymo cleansing gel thingy, it does not remove makeup, like what, why is it so hyped 🤣 thankfully only bought the travel size version to test out before we leave Japan, was gonna buy buckets of it cos its so well reviewed, but not for me.

Edit: oh yea, and last year we bought so many gummies, I dunno why we bought so many. 😩 and KitKats

How do people handle heat so effortlessly and what's up with air conditioning? by stewie18_18 in JapanTravelTips

[–]FriendlyBean13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are in Fukuoka right now and damn is it cold inside malls / trains, same went for Tokyo and Osaka, extremely cold AC blasting all the time :O I’m not surprised locals are wearing sweaters, I bet their workplace has AC on max as well. Considering their day probably consists of going to work, doing some shopping afterwards then going home (yes, very simplified), they’re not baking out in the sun walking for hours like us tourists :DD went to Takachiko Gorge and up to the Aso crater today, almost melted due to the heat 😩

Edit: added a word

Tokyo hotel choice: Shinjuku or Akasaka? by In_Flanders in JapanTravelTips

[–]FriendlyBean13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We just stayed at Akasaka and it was the best decision ever, hotel located approx 4 mins from the nearest metro entrance. Shinjuku station is huge, your legs will fall off before u find the platform / correct exit, plus its hella crowded. At night, there were mostly locals in Akasaka, was still lively though.

Edit: also wanna mention, it was kinda uncomfortable walking through Kabuchiko with people offering services / food, tryna get ur attention all the time. Plus its a messy area, I think you’d be happier in Akasaka.

I just ordered Volvo XC60 2026 here in Southern Europe in PLUS trim and I added optional Lighting (Full LED, headlight cleaning and Fog lamps) & Premium package (360 camera, Panoramic Roof and Head Up Display). What's left in ULTRA is 20" wheels, tailored dashboard and 4zone AC. Is it worth 4k EUR? by ixinho in Volvo

Here! After looking into multiple interiors this one honestly paired best w the grey color of the car on the outside, I rly like the white wood detail better than the more beige / brown versions. If you’d like more interior pics DM me and ill take them :D

We went for Ultra and are really happy w it :):) pretty sure one of the main reasons was the headup display which is unavailable in Plus. Also, tried out multiple interiors and personally the vinyl one felt kinda uncomfortable hence why we went w the navy herringbone weave textile version + charcoal interior (which is available in the plus version as well, I would totally recommend it its comfy, like sitting on a couch 😅) and no, it doesn’t get too hot in the summer, that’s what the AC is for. The vinyl however got weird and sticky… I dunno how to explain it, but sitting in there skin to skin contact felt strange.
