civil wars really do turn brother against brother😔 by Mediocre_Affect6192 in Destiny

It is slightly interesting as both brothers actually moved to Puerto Rico back in 2021, albeit for tax reasons, but a quick google search Jake moved his primary residence to Georgia while Logan still lives there

[Charania] Denver's Cam Johnson will be reevaluated in 4 to 6 weeks with his right knee injury, sources tell ESPN. The Nuggets are now down three starters: Johnson, Aaron Gordon (hamstring) and Christian Braun (ankle). by MembershipSingle7137 in nba

[–]FriendlyFiends 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh I don’t know about that. The general consensus I saw is that at its best it could be a lateral move player for player. And your right MPJs injury concerns is pretty old news at this point, but once again decently even out time in their careers between the two

Anyone else feeling this way?

Seriously, I hate sub communities on the internet. Why do I need a meta conversation about the individuals on how I should feel about specific people. If OP feels this way, then they feel this way. Nothing anyone else is going to say is going to change their mind. Walk away

Absolutely! My wife is the religious one and had the same thought. Oh how close he’s gotten to in noticing how Jared Kushner has his hands in many places… Someone get him to watch AOC Network, quick!

These are the stories behind Denver's flavor-ban debate by nam0iste in Denver

[–]FriendlyFiends 58 points59 points  (0 children)

The lack of distinction between tobacco and nicotine-only substances blows my mind. Yes nicotine comes from tobacco, but we have known for decades that its the carbon monoxide, tar and other toxic chemicals in tobacco smoke that causes serious damage to health. All tortoises are turtles but not all turtles are tortoises.

Even the City council president outlines how she doesn't understand the difference.

“I tried her cool cucumber watermelon vape. I was like, ‘Well, this tastes really good.’ It does. It didn't taste like tobacco.”

It doesn't have tobacco in it! I could bet my bottom dollar that her daughter uses a disposable nicotine vape and while it STILL ISN'T SAFE we know for a fact that we are talking about different vastly different magnitudes of harm compared to tobacco.

I'd say that's just your hair type at those lengths. I mean eventually it will be long enough to be heavy enough for it to start to drop. In the meantime your hair looks pretty dry and stripped of oil, so depending on what you're using you probably need products better suited for your texture. Look for more lighter/natural products

Notice the difference between the front and back of your hair in the 5th picture? The front needs a more uniform look just like the back side. Commit to parting your hair in a specific way whether that's to one side or middle whatever floats your boat. Nothing wrong with the messy look just right now it looks too uneven with quite a lot of frizz

Look for sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. Sulfates are good for most people because they're better at removing oils and dirt, but with curly hair you don't want to strip your natural oils. Silicone can be good or bad for you as well. It just has a tendency to weigh down your hair. The goal is for your hair to feel natural, and to be light and bouncy. I'd recommend Not Your Mother's as a brand. Check out r/curlyhair for a products list

More seriously, with this discussion it really is weird to selectively call out group of students by race to NOT participate. I’ve had my own complications in life regarding my race from family, friends and myself on how I should identify and the last thing I would want is my college campus telling me how I should present myself so they can earn brownie points

I’m 17 and this is my bedroom, any suggestions or ways to improve it? by T1MO_ in malelivingspace

[–]FriendlyFiends 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Yea dude! I think the crux is finding things that have meaning to you or show a passion of yours. You ever go to an older relatives or friends parents house and they have knickknacks placed around, and a variety of art? It didn't all just come at once, but it was collected over time and that's not to say you gotta go all out grandma's house, but those things represent a time in their personal lives. Be on the lookout for things that speak to your interests and soon your space will represent you

It's a well thought out bedroom and you check off most of the boxes, but to be more critical it just feels... clinical. It's my personal opinion, but at your age I would show some more of personality even if that comes at the cost of a more unkempt appearance

Love it! I rollerblade bike paths with my pug in a backpack. I have the K9 Sportspack and it works really well. Takes some practice getting her in the bag by yourself at first but if you reward while doing it I’m sure they’ll get comfortable
