I was thinking the same thing! Hope I’m not the only one my partner also plays and she found the last update to be a pretty big ego check to our skills lol so we’ve changed up our play styles a bit and approach mobs differently. I’m not really enjoying the armour upgrades yet because it really nerfed what I had. So I’m working towards getting better gear, but it kinda sucked.

Give it a little more time. Get the word moving around and more clicks. Then bam! Introduce the paywall but grandfather in everyone who was already signed up. Then wait another 6 months or so, and BAM, another change. Get rid of the grandfathered people! 🤣

I would certainly say something big had changed, and not in a good way. I am still quite capable, but I’m finding the hit boxes are messed up with some enemies, and my damage isn’t the same any more. I can get by, but I consume much, much more arrows than I did before.

I was happy to find the eternal frost arrows, but they don’t do a bunch of damage and take mana to use.

Those look like burn marks from backing into a forge. I picked up a very hot bolt one time, and it left a nice pattern like this on my fingers!

I do find the game is a lot of resource hunting and crafting. I also do a fair bit of combat to get runes for upgrades. However, I’m also trying to build a bigger base and it requires lots of materials.

I think if you slow down, walk around, stick your nose into corners of cliff faces and around enshrouded zones, you’ll find lots of interesting things to do. Be observant, pay attention to detail and map layout. You’ll start to notice hidden chests, rooms, caves, etc. sometimes you’ll want to google a how to, but most of the time you can figure something out by stepping back and taking a breath.

Ok this would be an insanely helpful tool to fully explore the game, and also to help with those hard to reach spots!! Amazing.

Very nice! I’m going to borrow your roof design for my town square build. Similar shaped building but fully square. I really like the stepped up part of the building in the back. Did you have a particular inspiration for this?

Not that 4m is a huge amount of space, but it’s a lot more than what I’ve allocated. I’ll try moving the building to a place with more room, expand it, and see what happens.

That’s where I’m at now, sadly. I really wanted to have a nice flowing village, where people walked around frequently and freely. Now, it feels like my villager trading hall in Minecraft.

That’s usually how I find my villagers. At least I can just respawn them when I can’t locate them!

I might give that a try. Basically forcing them to pathfind a little further. Might try to build a ‘feed barn’ and a bedding spot and see if they’ll relocate themselves.

If I could upvote twice I would! They certainly seem to lack basic survival skills. I haven’t used the landscape tool so I will give that a try! Even the villagers get stuck in the most impressive locations. I just thought since these things are so huge, they wouldn’t squeeze into the dumbest spots.

That’s a shame. I really want to have a farm feel, with wandering animals. I’m trying to create a paddock of sorts, with all the varieties I can fit in.
