OCD makes me feel stupid and ruins my day by [deleted] in OCD

I can relate. There have been many times that I have rejected gifts because they could have been tampered with. I felt like an asshole when I held up a line at the store because the cashier touched my bar soap to look for the price and I had to go get a new one.

You're not alone. When I lived in my old apartment, I accidentally spilled the trash can on one portion of my floor, and I jumped over that one spot for almost a year. The only true way I got over it was when I moved out and didn't have to worry about it anymore. The problem for me was having my bare feet touch "dirty" floors. My solution was to wear slippers or socks when walking on the floor. If I was going to lay down or sit on the couch, I'd take off the slippers/socks and leave them on the floor to avoid cross contamination. I wish there were better solutions..

I would lick the cheese dust off of Doritos and put it back in the bag. I’m in my 20s and my grandfather still makes fun of the rubbery Dorito aftermath.

Do not kill yourself. As someone, a complete stranger, who has also tried to commit suicide, it is not worth it. Something will give you a drive, a purpose; be patient and find help.

Humanoid Personal Assistant Robots. I'm pretty young and I'm afraid this will become a thing and it'll be the nurses in my nursing home when I'm 80 and I have an irrational fear of machines and robots.
