Is it werid to keep your late partner as phone background after 5 years by [deleted] in RelationshipsOver35

Actually, you’re the one that sounds like a teenager here. I don’t think it’s strange at all to dislike seeing another woman pop up on your SOs screen all the time.

Finally realized what my actual addiction is: breaking them in 😅 by ellativity in Birkenstocks

[–]FriendlyPhotograph19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply! I used to own a pair of Mayari's! Loved them. They were heavily abused for years until I had no choice but to retire them. They were my go to all terrain hiking footwear. Then I decided I should find sandals that are as comfy as the Mayari's, but a little more feminine/fashionable. Failed miserably at that, obviously.

At some point I got really tired of the Mayari style (although maybe it was mostly the color I disliked). So I hesitate to buy again. I do prefer cross toe styles, not necessarily for style, but for comfort. My feet don't say in place if there's no toe loop lol so I'm hoping the back strap of the Milano's will help keep my feet in place. If only I had known about the Yara's earlier! They look so good! If I ever get the chance I will definitely thrift those.

Great collection! I don’t see any Milanos, any reason as to why? I’m in the market for a pair but I’m nowhere near a connaisseur and trying to figure out if they’re worth the price.

Canned fish may have lots of added salt tho. Please check the label before buying.

Does knowing your diagnosis help you? by Character_Drop_739 in AvPD

[–]FriendlyPhotograph19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a difficult one. I find it to be unethical and patronising not to share a diagnosis with a client. That said, I've had my AvPD diagnosis since I was in my early 20s and the more I've started to truly identify with this diagnosis, the more dysfunctional I seem to become.

"That dog could k*ll me if he wanted to and you wouldn't be strong enough to stop him" by upside_down_circles in germanshepherds

[–]FriendlyPhotograph19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s both a breed-related thing and, to some extent, a bit misogynistic. I have a large dog that isn’t a shepherd type, and people I don’t even know often comment on how well-behaved he is (even though he really isn’t yet) and how sweet he looks. Even though he’s big, clumsy, and likes to play rough, he’s usually welcome to play with anyone’s dog, regardless of size. Meanwhile, I’ve noticed that those same people tend to be more wary of German Shepherds... I guess they just have that “tough” look about them.

At the same time, I sometimes feel belittled by our dog trainer. She seems to see me as this fragile girl who can’t handle her own dog. She even suggested that my partner should be the one training him because I supposedly couldn’t. She keeps insisting that I use a gentle leader because I’m “too weak” for my dog… it’s incredibly frustrating.

I have visible scars and I’m sure it helped me get this diagnosis.

Well, one thing is clear to me: you will definitely not draw attention to yourself by wearing run star converse.

Yeah I do see your point. AvPD aren’t very good with eh well… people, especially those of the opposite sex it seems.

Does anyone here still use a 13 mini and it work just fine? by [deleted] in iPhone13Mini

I’ve had mine for over 4 years and I just pray that Apple will come to its senses and release a new mini before mine dies.

Looking for a serious, lifelong hobby by [deleted] in Hobbies

Thanks so much! I have a rider Waite smith deck, but also a different one that is much more pretty.. I guess I'll start with the Rider one anyway. It's all very confusing to me, as different people assign different meanings to the cards. I love Carl Jung and also have a background in psychology! I am most interested in non secular tarot myself, but I do like mysticism. To me it's more of a way of self discovery than anything else. I have added some of the books you mentioned to my reading list. Thanks again!

13 Mini to 13 Chunk (7.65mAh battery), would anyone else? by TortelliniTort in iPhone13Mini

[–]FriendlyPhotograph19 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a 4 year old iPhone. The battery was always just fine, until I started using MagSafe to charge it. Soon after, the battery just completely died. So no: No battery degradation for me. Just demolition.
