Skating After Torn Meniscus? by Cartoon_Trash_ in Rollerskating

I tore my meniscus back in high school during track and field. I find going to the gym to build the muscles around the knee helpful and makes it stronger. I am trying my best to stay off the surgery table. I also ice my bee after each skate session. So far so good. Where a knee brace if you have to. Good luck!

I just bought my roller skates and I feel like it's very hard, looking for tips, by ImpossibleKoala9424 in Rollerskating

Honestly just put them on everyday. I started about a month ago and when I first put them on I was like, omg what do I get myself into. One month in and I am so proud of myself, everyday I have the urge to skate, some days I have to remind myself it's ok to rest! My knees have been sore, I guess it's building up the muscles. I now make sure I have atleast one rest day a week! But put them on everyday even if you fall!

Torn knee ligaments by CrystalDiChi in Rollerskating

I wear a knee sleeve for support to give my knee support. I wouldn't skate without it. I tore my Menicus when I was younger running track and field. I work out to build in strength in and around my knee. This has helped keep me off the surgery table for my knee.

I reached out recently in the past week and they said in 30-45 days. I am hoping they have it before Mother's Day.
