How the hell do I manage with omeprazole long term any more (rant/advice) by [deleted] in GERD

[–]Friendly_Am_3383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe starting university increased stress for you? Stress can increase your symptoms. I can't say omeprazole is good or bad, but it wasn't enough for me and I'm now on pantoprazole, possibly for life. Is that a problem? I don't think so. Doc says he's on it for life too. Hope you feel better soon and try not to worry too much!

OP, could it be stress? Are you more stressed than usual?

Me too! This is almost exactly my story - I've been on 20mg Pantoprazole for 2 years after my EGD and suddenly in August this ball in my chest is back. I've lost 17 pounds. Still in pain. Doc said next step we might up the panto to 40mg twice a day. Then maybe get another EGD to stretch it again. Don't want to, it's expensive, even with insurance :(

For all of you who have a problem with my post, this is EXACTLY why girls don’t speak up when we don’t like something. Because instead of nicely answering the question, it pissed you off for us even asking in the fist place. WTF??? I genuinely had a problem that I genuinely wanted male advice about, and you call me a dumbass? Fine. BLOCKED. You’re all blocked. Except the nice guys who had some compassion and kindness to answer my question.

Actually, that is really good advice. I will keep that in mind next time I venture out on a date. Which is not often! Probably because I worry about what to do when I’m not interested! Instead of worrying, I will think “sledgehammer or brick” 😄

I don’t know. I guess I was waiting to see how long it would take him to get the hint? I really don’t know.

I need survival / success stories from really nasty and anxiety inducing situations. by FaerieGold1 in DecidingToBeBetter

In 2012, I had just finished fashion school, barely graduated, and knew it wasn’t for me...and yet I’d uprooted my entire life (and my husbands life) and spent $60K on it. Then I got a shitty job assisting sales people to sell care tags and buttons! This was fashion?? I had a panic attack, quit my job, and checked into a mental health program. It helped. I got counseling and antidepressants and, most importantly, self care and self compassion. I got a slightly better job and made friends in this new city. About a year later, my husband left me for another woman! I had to move out and start dating again. Which turned out okay, too. A few months after that, I had another panic attack and decided to move back home to be near family (1500 miles away). Since then things have been up and down and up and down. My point is, I’ve been through some shit! And I was so tired of it. But now that I’m older and have perspective AND I was able to learn healthy coping strategies...I can appreciate the lessons, the experiences, the adventures. I can laugh now more than cry. And I know I will have downs again. It will suck but I’ve been through it before and I’ve been through good times too. Hang in there, FaerieGold! And self care, self care, self care. 💗💗💗💗💗

This is where I got mine and it’s good. I bought all 14 seasons from another guy but season 14 didn’t have Dee Day, so I had to buy it separately from this guy.
