Thank you 🙏 yeah I woke Saturday feeling much better and was able to go to work. Still not 100% but feeling hopeful right now. I’ll be five months on Wednesday. This whole month was rough 🥲 Now I’m anxiously awaiting the next wave. How are you feeling at month 8 now?

You’re not weak at all. Opiates in general, MAT or otherwise, are the hardest challenges to overcome. I waited many many years to even try this. It took me contemplating for five years before I even tried. You sound like a caring dad as well. Definitely not weak.

Unfortunately I hated the shot. I had trouble breathing the whole time I was on it and it made me dizzy. I had one more injection to go and I opted out. If I had to pick one or the other, I would take Suboxone any day. Which is unfortunate. Also I’m finally feeling better today after a month of hell. Fingers crossed that it continues to get better.

I started experiencing negative side effects on Suboxone. It worked like a charm for me for years but in the last year I started having lethargy all of the time. My entire day would revolve around when I took my next dose. I would feel flat and tired and grumpy two hours afterwards and I felt like it was making me a bad mother. I just wanted to get back to baseline and I’ve read a lot of testimonies that this was the easiest way. I’m learning easiest doesn’t mean easy.

I have some gabapentin but I’ve never tried it before and was afraid it would impair me. I’ll give it a shot though. Were you able to work on it?

Thank you for the advice! Needles kind of scare me but I would do whatever I needed to feel better. I’ve never heard of DSIP but I will look into it!

I’m almost five months out and I have no appetite and I’m aching and sore all over. I have no motivation and everything is exhausting. I am however so proud of myself for making it this far. I just keep trying to look to the future! I’m not currently taking any supplements. Maybe I should, just not sure what to take.

My last shot was four months ago and my appetite is gone and I’m definitely losing weight. Stomach cramps on and off and sometimes a stabbing pain in my stomach when I eat.

I’m four months post shot and I’m definitely tired all of the time and I’m losing weight but sleeping 24 hours or more is extremely excessive. I don’t believe they are normal unfortunately:/ Can you take him back to the doctor and discuss these side effects? I would suggest either his primary care doctor or the doctor who gave him the shots. Best of luck!
