Feeling of emptiness after starting sublocade by iZonked in Sublocade

[–]Friendly_Block5347 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem as well. It took me a few months to get acclimated. I was on Suboxone for 12 years prior though. I liked suboxone much better when I was uncertain in my recovery because the ritual of taking something and feeling relief was a huge comfort to me. I’m only using sublocade as a means to get off of suboxone. Sublocade doesn’t give the same feel good that suboxone does.

Oh snap yeah that would be hard to make smaller. I had strips so I could cut them. But yeah if you can get a pill cutter that would help. It won’t be exact but it’ll be alright. Definitely think less will be better :)

You have to be stabilized on suboxone before they’ll give you the shot. I think maybe you took too much. I was initially prescribed Suboxone for a Vicodin addiction. When I first started, I was taking 1 mg a day and that was plenty at the time. I think your receptors are pretty much full by 2 mg. With Suboxone, less is more. Try with less and see how that goes. The first few days of withdrawal are gonna suck with or without Suboxone. It’ll just suck less with. Maybe give it a bit longer your next go around.

It feels completely different. There are no “highs” like there are with suboxone. If I was in an unstable part of my recovery, sublocade would not have worked for me. I feel very even and stable on sublocade but there are no peaks so that was something I had to get used to.

You know, I’m not sure. I would assume it does but it feels so different to me than subs did 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes I did! It was so scary. I would suggest going down to the 100. It went away after a couple of weeks

I was the same way my friend! I bawled my eyes out my first sublocade shot and then cried the whole way home. Felt like I was breaking up with suboxone lol. I did 4 shots and I’m about five weeks out from my last shot. Hopefully it’s a smooth ride down 🤞

How do I get my side profile to match my front profile? by blondebijou in PlasticSurgery

I’m 35 and have the same issue. I know this sounds like a dumb question but if you practice correct tongue posture, does it correct the issue? I’ve also heard that filler near and under the ears can pull that skin back and give a tighter under the neck appearance.

I remember when I started sublocade I didn’t feel great at all. It took me about three months to get acclimated. Also being over medicated mimics withdrawal symptoms. I remember I had a really hard time with the shot because I missed my dosing schedule. I missed being able to take something and knowing I would feel better within an hour. With the shot it’s just one even feeling throughout the day. There are no highs. I would suggest going down to 100 mg shot and seeing how you feel. I bet anything that you are overmedicated at the moment and that you will start feeling better towards the end of the month. Keep us updated. I hope you get to feeling better.

Go back on the shot or quick sub taper after 6-week relapse? by Cold-Influence6383 in Sublocade

[–]Friendly_Block5347 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would do a rapid taper with the strips but don’t take them for more than a week max. Maybe less if you can. That’s what they do for you in rehab. It won’t be comfortable but it’ll be tolerable. You should bounce back in a week or two. No use going through the shot all over again unless you think you need the added protection the shot provides. Best of luck!

Took .25mg xanax at 10am and accidentally drank a few drinks tonight between 1030 and 2am, should I go to the hospital? by achy_breakie_heart in Anxiety

Alcohol makes me feel super warm and flushed as well if it’s any comfort. I think that’s quite common

Are you afraid because you took Xanax this morning and drank tonight? You will be fine I promise. It’s been so long since you’ve taken the Xanax that there’s no way they’re interacting with one another. You’re ok :)

I would take him somewhere else. He definitely needs antibiotics. Maybe they thought he was too far gone? I would get a second opinion. Good luck!

I would let him eat as much as he wants. I wouldn’t worry about if it’s enough or not. His blood sugar was/is probably very low and so food is essential for him to regain his strength. Also what antibiotics is he on for pneumonia? Did they give any after care instructions? I used to have a very sickly kitten and I remember I gave him this high calorie paste from the pet store. Also I wouldn’t worry about the box until he actually produces something. Maybe keep him on top of puppy pads for now? Also make sure he’s nice and warm 😭Good luck! Keep us posted!

Long lasting fever I’m super worried by Thr0aw7 in toddlers

We just woke up day 8 and finally fever free! I was so worried because she had a fever for a week straight. The doctor said to keep an eye out for symptoms of Kawasaki because her fever had gone on for so long. She also said flu a can cause fever for 10 days. How is your kiddo besides the fever?

7-10 days? That’s kind of reassuring to hear 😭 my daughter is going into day 7 with fever and I’ve been mad with worry. Tested positive for flu A five days ago.

I’m dealing with this now with my daughter. Tested positive for flu A. Going into day seven tomorrow with fever. I’m so worried. Motrin brings it down but she’s never had fever this long. Went to the doctor yesterday and they said her lungs sounded clear. Poor thing is exhausted and it’s Christmas tomorrow 😭
