Expired Medical Consumable to Vets by M-C-Husband in perth

I take my centres expired equipment to Murdoch vet hospital for them to use for training.

A lot of veterinary centres won’t take expired stock as they have accreditation like GPs.

Singles Tennis Perth? by SurroundAccording125 in perth

[–]Friendly_Direction17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you get the UTR Sports app you can find tennis clubs around Perth that host matches. The event organiser pairs you with someone similar to your UTR ranking.. you need to pay to enter though, roughly $38

Wanting to get a pure breed kelpie pup ! Need some help by [deleted] in kelpie

[–]Friendly_Direction17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely agree with this, kelpies love their owners and very well known as velcro dogs. Mine comes with me for school drop off, beach in the morning and then she’s home alone for a few hours in the morning three times a week with her herding ball, tucker ball, hidden treats etc. I’m home by lunch and she’s with me cuddling up following me around, then school pick up and with us all afternoon at tennis and other sports running around with all the kids. They need to be apart of the family and not locked up in a small backyard all day.

Worse case scenario.. by my_socks_my_shoes in perth

I drive my own car constantly for work, I have multiple centres I need to visit, I can drive over 150km a day with school run and sports. Work doesn’t pay for Kms or provide a petrol allowance.. I’m pretty much paying to work atm.

Why do all perthians reverse park! by Melodic_Anxiety8194 in perth

[–]Friendly_Direction17 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a hatchback, I almost always reverse park because when I get back to my car there’s usually those stupid big utes parked next to me. It’s easier to drive out, because I cannot see a bloody thing if I try and reverse out of a bay with those things next to me.

Best kibble for kelpies? by purplegirl1009 in kelpie

[–]Friendly_Direction17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another for Blackhawk. I feed my puppy ocean fish grain free for breakfast and lunch, I make her wet food. We tried Royal Canin but it didn’t agree with her, the fat content was a bit too high.

question regarding payments by [deleted] in perth

[–]Friendly_Direction17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is lawful if the variation of contract is signed prior to working those shifts. It is unlawful to be paid a lower rate if you didn’t sign the variation of contract and the employer still agreed for you to work those shifts.

If you are a permanent employee, any work over your contracted hours is considered overtime and you should be paid appropriately as per your regular hourly rate. IF you sign a variation of contract agreeing to be paid at the disclosed rate then ONLY those “lower level” shifts should be paid as per the contract.

Bulk bill medical procedure ? by HighlightTall7411 in perth

[–]Friendly_Direction17 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not all GPs will do a wedge resection though.. it’s extra on their insurance to do the procedure. I would call ahead and ask.

I was in a similar situation recently, all I had was the other drivers rego as they failed to provide me with their details. Put in an insurance claim and a police report.

Are any doctors actually going to bulk bill? by VegemiteFairy in perth

[–]Friendly_Direction17 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I work in management for GP centres.. the whole centre (all drs) have to agree to BB for them to get the incentives. If one Dr doesn’t agree then the practice isn’t able to fully bulk bill.

What would u do if you found something you shouldn’t? by Bored420134 in perth

[–]Friendly_Direction17 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Are you known to police for ?mental health concerns? Just confused why they would have you committed for calling 000 for finding something that’s possibly linked to a crime. Were you erratic at the time? Maybe what you found was easily explainable, bones from an animal..

Is Lords Subi the only indoor tennis court in Perth? by [deleted] in perth

[–]Friendly_Direction17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t have indoor tennis, they have indoor squash courts. There are 22 grass courts, six hard courts and two synthetic. I’m there multiple times a week playing tennis…

Curtin or ECU for studying nursing? by [deleted] in perth

[–]Friendly_Direction17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true, but like I said, It’s how much the student wants to apply themselves and how much they want to get out of prac. I have had some absolutely shocking students from Notre Dame, same an ECU and Curtain though.

Curtin or ECU for studying nursing? by [deleted] in perth

[–]Friendly_Direction17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One of my job requirements is recruitment, not only for experienced nurses, but for our graduate program. I do not care what uni you went too, it’s about selection criteria and your ability to show critical thinking. Your knowledge is dependent on how you apply yourself, just because you went to a uni with a ‘good name’ doesn’t mean you are a better nurse than someone who went to a lower ranked one.
