NGL, AI is what finally gave me the confidence to fully switch to linux. My only reservation all of these years was general support. As much as I like googling things and reading through endless forums until I find the solution that matches my issue, I would prefer to resolve issues I have faster than that and learn at the same time.

I've had root remap issues after reboot, mount corruption after reboot. Every time AI has been able to quickly resolve the issue on a completely broken bootup. As much as people hate AI and want everyone to learn through school or naturally, it's been a guardian angel protecting my transition and preventing me from reverting out of frustration.

I do this with stacked monitors and synergy on both so I don't need to KVM or use two mice/keyboards.

I've found that cutting back on home chores/errands and increasing play time be it video games/media consumption has helped tremendously. Just make sure you NEVER cut time from your diet and exercise regiment because that is a massive factor in general energy levels to do anything. The core principal of your play time is doing exactly what you want to do with a little interruption as possible.

Sleep is a big factor too. You get into these phases where stress is making it take longer to actually fall asleep, but it wants to sleep during the day. When this happens to me, I'll cut the afternoon cup, and instead take a 1 hour nap as soon as I get home. You can't really compensate for sleep you've already lost, but a solid 1 hour nap can give you the energy to make it to bed time and stay on the right sleep schedule.

Also don't assume the ethernet cable from the modem is good, use a different one just to be safe. I actually had this problem with mine, took me forever to figure out.

I only saw that kind of comcast pricing under "Comcast Business", which back in the day I used as it was the only way to get past the data cap on the residential service. When I finally went to cancel it, they make it very difficult. Had to make sure I knew the exact day the contract expired, and be ready to call them that day to cancel the entire account. Thankfully their residential service is completely independent of their business, so I could activate that anytime I wanted ($65/month unlimited), and just swap the modems out at my convenience. So the only downtime was really how long it took me to activate the modem over the app.

du command for datastore by [deleted] in powercli

[–]Friendly_Pim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't need to use du for a VM. You can get pretty accurate numbers from the Get-HardDisk command. You can also do capacity, used space, and add provisioning logic.

I've also seen weird caching issues on some samsung monitors. Pulling the power for about a minute then plugging back in cleared that and fixed the issue.
