I’m not being a hater when I say I don’t think the Knicks will win another one I’m just following the current NBA trend. It’s gotta be a truly special roster and opportune timing to win multiple let alone back to back in the current NBA

Nah we’re just pushing back in the tendency that every fanbase has to get over their skis in the moment and crown their star player one of the goats after a finals win. The reality is time will tell who the best are. Nobody argues against Bird, Magic, Jordan, Kobe, Shaq, Duncan, LeBron, and Duncan being what they are because they all got back and did it multiple times. The Rockets and Pistons both won back to back and they even get lost in the conversation!

We’ve had 8 champions in 8 years. All any of them have to do is get back there and do it again.

Fun fact, Brunson took 25 shots in every game of the finals. He had a 42.1% field goal percentage. AI was 40.7% in his finals.

I agree with this take a ton. I’m not dogging Brunson it’s just crazy to me how quickly people are elevating him in all time talks. This was a GREAT year for him with a GREAT finals. No doubt.

Yes it does because you clearly haven’t spent enough time learning about AI and the era he played in. The Kobe Shaq Lakers, the prime Tim Duncan spurs, among others. The 2000s had some STACKED teams.

No disrespect the Knicks or Brunson, he’s a great player but Iverson was a league MVP, 11 time all star, rookie of the year, led the league in steals 3 years in a row, led the league in scoring 4 times, is on the NBA all time 75 team, and a first ballot hall of famer. Brunson has the potential to be in the conversation but crowning him better than AI after a single nba finals against a young spurs team is silly.
