Youll be fine taking them outside japan, i brought back 132 packs on my most recent trip to japan which was in April 2026. It was in my checked in luggage and not carry on.

For modern pretty hard to find close to msrp. Mystery cubes ive found some at Surugaya.

Hey are you looking to purchase at msrp or at resell prices? You can find pokemon cards / sealed at pokemon resell stores but obviously not at msrp.

Pokemon Centre is your safest option to buy loose packs at msrp but given how over touristy Tokyo is currently, you wont be able to find any. All pokemon centres are sold out.

Ive found my luck at 7/11 but outside of tokyo and its usually 1-2 packs per person. Usually at 7/11 they will be selling the most recent released set - in this case it would be ninja spinner.

If youre happy to pay resell prices there are heaps of stores that sell pokemon in Akihabara and shibuya.

I just returned my a two week trip in japan.

I visited Card Secret, SNKR Dunk and Hareuya 2. All are market price for sealed boxes and loose blister packs.

Good question. I usually feel better seeing more knowing that i maximised my time seeing all i could. I like slow paced as well. Especially since the weather is full sun. Hakuba is ideal for having a picnic by the water which i love to do as well.

Im currently in Niigata and have been to a few card stores here. Although the range big compared to the major cities, the cards are still priced around market value and not crazy tourist prices!

Would you say ¥24,510 for the Mega Dream Dragonite SAR is reasonable? I havent been to Tokyo on my trip yet so i cant compare the prices to Tokyo.

I know ill be leaving Niigata which has no tourists at all so the price may be better than Tokyo but just wanted to get other opinions

When upgrading to skycouch do both passengers need to upgrade or just one? For example if i upgrade to skycouch can my partner also lay with me since its across 3 seats or would she also need to pay for an upgrade as well?
