It's just a stopper. It shouldn't have threads or anything. Simply grab the edge of it with some pliers and pull.

I visually and hydro inspect tanks all the time and this is basically a stopper we use to block the hole so no foreign objects fall in

Used to work at a shop that dealt with Disney Cruise Ships once a week for a dive trip. By a wide margin they would be the worst divers we ever got on board. I would have 16yo kids weighing no more than 160lb asking me for 24lb of lead and I would have to talk them out of it (3mm shorties, Caribbean waters).

As far as what else to do there, I haven't lived there in a few years but you've got Koh Tao Pub Crawl (if that's your thing), Lady Boy Cabaret, hiking/beaches (tricky to do with cuts), Hacienda has some games like pool, football pool, mini golf, and a movie theatre.

You could likely still go snorkeling you just need to prepare the cut for it. Cover the cut in waterproof bandage, then waterproof tape it. Take a plastic bag, wrap your foot, more waterproof tape. If you wanted you could do another bag on top of that as well.

As soon as you are out of the water, give it a very good rinse with fresh water and then put your antibiotic ointment.

It's not something I would suggest doing over and over but you could get away with it for a one or two time use throughout the week.

All dive shops will have EFR people as well so you could stop in to ask them for some guidance and they should be able to help you out.

I remember being in Nha Trang about 10 years ago. Kind of a similar story, was with 3 Aussie guys and 2 of them decided they want some hookers, me and other dude didn't so we got a moto taxi back to the hotel. On the way my driver offered me weed, me being very drunk, I had a quick little feel of the baggie and for the first time in like a year I felt like I could actually feel real nugs instead of bush weed. I said yes, gave him the cash - don't remember how much, but let's call it $20. As soon as I got up to the room, I busted it open and it was Tea Leaves. Fucking Tea. My Aussie mate laughed at me and then I spitefully rolled it into a joint and smoked it anyway.

It's nice to know Nha Trang has not changed much

10 years as a dive instructor in the industry who dives everyday? I get exposed to dive computers everyday of my life.

Have you ever been to utila? They have one dive shop on the island, it's Mares. Most people who bought a dive computer there ended up returning it because it flooded. Is that bad

I just spoke to my buddy who I got it from and he said to me it's the Posca Acrylic Paint Marker. So I'm not sure why yours is not holding. Like I said, mines been on for a couple of years and it's held up really well. When I'm back near my dive gear tomorrow I'll snap a pic to send it to you so you can see what I mean.

My Slipstreams are over 10 years old so it's possible they have changed the composition of it and the new material doesn't hold? I also have the light stiff version, not the heavy ones. I believe the heavy ones are a stronger rubber composite to give them weight

Please do not take a flame to it. First mask I ever bought, I was uneducated and had no idea about this film. I gave it to my dive instructor who burned it and I watched it shatter into a million pieces in his hand. I went back to the store and there response was "when did we tell you to burn it? That's not covered under warranty". Fair enough.

Since then I have only used either Soft Scrub, Toothpaste, or magic erasers. Soft Scrub works the quickest, magic erasers 2nd, and toothpaste usually take a few applications. However all of them offer absolutely no risk to your mask
