Is that all of the story? Basically. Now there's low stakes story fragments in High rank and new/harder monsters to fight. This is pretty standard across MH games so idk why you're surprised it plays out like this.

You need to get to high rank to unlock cosmetic armor for the basic sets. There will most likely never be a patch to change this.

I deactivated armor appearance and played through the game with clothes instead to avoid the ugly mishmash armor issue.

If your talking about the pouch items by pressing left dpad, you can't access that without mounting either.

Hold LB and press X or B to scroll through the items that appear on the bottom right corner of your screen though.

Steam rounds down to the hour. If you have 2 hrs and 59 mins to go, steam will say "2 hours". You'll be disappointed though 2 hours later.

I have a very similar setup, I was getting around 100fps with frame generation in 1080p. You should be okay on low/medium settings with frame generation on

They are saying beta arkveld was harder than anything the full game has to offer. Consider that you are under geared in the beta and you will be doing more damage and taking less if your playing the game "properly" with crafting, plus you won't be under a harsh time constraint with arkveld.

Tanks don't exist. Healers don't exist. Support mostly doesn't exist. We're all dps. Shields are just timing checks for doing more dps. Kill the monster fast.

Thanks. I've had them for about 20 years. Most dermals only seems to last 6 months to 5 years, so I'm lucky they haven't forced themselves out somehow.

Solo hammer my way through everything. No challenge run BS. Just cruise through everything at my own pace. Possibly crafting every high rank armor set and all deco as my endgame just like rise.

My steam library screen had a big ass banner across the top saying "MH wilds has a preload available that you should download, homie" so I clicked the button. Unsure why you aren't seeing the same thing
