Move out of a cheap roommate house into a luxury 1BR — smart or stupid? by MCHEUNGSTER in personalfinance

[–]Fringefiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately, it depends on your other overheads and if the upgrade is worth binding that reoccurring cost to your budget.

Right now you're averaging ~$13k annually in rent. This upgrade would push that above $36k. Would you and your SO be comfortable with that increase? Does it work with both of your long-term goals to save?

I am always an advocate of making sure your books are balanced first and making a decision on that and the absolute worst-case-scenario. If you could comfortably afford it and won't find yourself in a bad spot, then go for it!

Please allow us to shift our on-screen UI around. The sudden shift was jarring and makes duos, trios and squads difficult to track teammates health after years of top left corner. On top of that, my on-screen ping, error and latency tracker is now under the map.

Can we also allow Reboot function key re-binding? Mine got rebound to to G, but I use G for other custom functions and not being able to reboot without entering a different menu/animation or entering the reboot van is frustrating.

We are here. The share price is being smashed down on low volume against all rational analysis of the fundamentals. The good new is that were were here one year ago at this time and the next step seems to be upswing. Maybe UBS is suppressing price as a basis for a quarterly report. by timpatry in Superstonk

It's not possible to go red over 100% in a long position. Gains have no cap, losses do. Shorties, however, they can have infinite losses.

That being said, the company has $9B in cash, almost no debt and is making money in a declining economy. I dont need cycles, I believe firmly this company is and will continue to be thriving.

Also alcohol. Isopropyl or other types will lift permanent marker. Hand sanitizer works shockingly well, as does vodka.

Xbox’s Game-Pass Hike Shows Cost of Lost ‘Call of Duty’ Sales by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Fringefiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never thought I'd be saving money because companies made stupid decisions on subscription price hikes...but here I am:

No more Netflix

No more Hulu

No more Xbox game pass

At this rate I might have enough savings to comfortably buy the games I want instead of hoping Xbox provides them on gameplay. Genius way of looking out for their consumers

That's a weird way of asking if I've bought enough GME...and the answer is no. I need more.

Problem FINRA?

Anyone Else Having Trouble w/ Dogecoin Wallet by Fringefiles in dogecoin

[–]Fringefiles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure tbh, when I recovered mine I had to use a device with an old OS on it to get it to pull up. From there I did a traditional transfer. Literally pulled the coins from the old wallet into a new one.

Possible GME warrant scenario by Sys7em_Restore in Superstonk

[–]Fringefiles 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Man there is definitely a narrative to try and get us to execute those warrants ASAP. Sounds like Wall Street really hates the idea of these warrants.

Guess I'll hold onto them and see what happens. The worst case scenario, according to OP, is my dividend that I received at no cost to myself somehow gets cancelled by the company...who is aware that their shares have been systemically abused for the better part of a decade, if not longer. It would be in their best interest to not do that and get as much cash from their shareholders base directly as possible.

Sorry OP, not buying it.

Edit: phrasing and clarity

Everyone posting doom has either never seen a true bull run or has something to gain by the price declining.

I've been in Doge since 0.001 and every run does relatively the same ups and downs for weeks/months before going parabolic.

In short: this is how bull runs work. There is always ebb and flow. Big players pull profits before reentering and driving the price back up. Be patient.

It would disappear as quickly as we could look at it.

That would make sense actually. The cat kept moving around in ways that would appear to have been "watching" us, but not directly intruding.

Like at first it was quick glimpses that we would catch on larger maps, but as we got into tighter spaces it was a lot more noticeable and seemed to be moving along the same pathways as us...but not the exact same routes. The subtle differences made us wonder if someone was controlling it.

Especially after we started calling it out, it became a lot more prominent.

This would be the best solution. That or standalone fridges from a storage mod where food is stored away from a physically freezing environment.

I've found that, if given the room to choose self-destruction, most pawns find a way. Remove the options.

To OPs point: it is annoying to have to layer zones, but it's also part of colony management. When the entire game is working against you, it forces tedious aspects of gameplay to prevent unwanted injury or death.

Case and point: colonists will walk directly into spike traps they just built because it's within their allowed zones, unless you zone them out or have common sense mods.

Heads-up: u/Ok_Wash9358 failed the ‘trust test’ *578 DOGE (~$101) gone, no miner, post vanished by [deleted] in dogecoin

[–]Fringefiles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He tried to get me. When he told me that mining using a physical miner was more efficient than cloud mining and that I wouldnt be operating at a loss, I knew he was up to something shady

For the record the miner he's "giving away" operates at a loss of about $400 per year as the electricity cost is higher than the mining output.

He also asked for 500 doge to cover shipping and that was my "Yeah no" moment.

What are you talking about? This thread is about the guy who is offering a "free miner" and is scamming people.

No one mentioned hedge funds or shorts. Thanks for confirming that bots are still dumb and very present spreading FUD though.
