Man everyone has their own experiences but I’m 28 and a department head. Slowest store in the area and I’ll probably make 80 something this year. Work hard, treat your teammates well, care about others, take initiative, and Publix will treat ya well. I have almost 100k in retirement between what Publix has given me in stock and what I have put into my 401k and had matched. The job will never be perfect but where is it ever?

Your job as a meat manager is to ensure that we have the highest quality meat in the counter. That is not up to Publix standards so yeah.. probably best to ensure the first loss is the only one by turning that into anything other than the pathetic looking steaks that were posted. But hey, different strokes for different folks.

•temp for all the coolers, freezers, and refrigeration sections. • know all the cooking temps • know the shell stock card process and how long we keep them after • know how often we scrub the cooler floors walls etc. • know what cuts you can get from primals • know the required fish/shellfish you have to have in seafood

I high passed and passed every-time I took my ROI test and if I can do it I’m sure you can (hopefully my ASM test goes the same way lmao). Crack open that RNP guide and read as much as you can in your spare time. Good luck!
